  1. I'm not a fan of giving up a draft pick for a short term deal.
  2. There are numerous reasons to not bunt against the shift. On your first point about a walk vs a bunt, I'll talk the walk every time. A walk is a free base 100% of the time. You still have to execute a bunt. You could bunt the ball right in front of the plate or right back to the pitcher. You could pop up the bunt. You still have to put the ball in play and beat it out. A lot of things can go wrong. Who on the Twins would you rather see bunt than swing away ever? You're giving up the opportunity for extra base hits if you bunt, meaning you score less runs. Lastly, teams aren't going to change their defensive philosophy just because someone laid down a few bunts against a shift. Their defensive philosophy is based off of hundreds or even thousands of plate appearances. They aren't changing that because Miguel Sano laid down a few bunts. They would actually probably prefer that over him swinging away.
  3. I'm going to be asking the Twins for a refund on my Xavier Moore jersey I just bought
  4. I might be moving to the Minneapolis area in the summer. Hopefully I can make it next year!

  6. Yeah, if they are just bringing them in with nothing guaranteed, then I'm all for it.
  7. The only problem I have with these "no risk" "minor league deals" with MLB veterans is it seems they always make the roster with the Twins.
  8. I had never seen Stewart pitch before, so I was never sure what to think of him. I actually liked what I saw from Stewart. Obviously has some things to clean up. He definitely has potential to contribute at the major league level.
  9. Doesn't matter what the Twins do with him this year. Maybe the Twins will sign Machado and move Polanco to 2B.
  10. It's hard for me to take Santana's comments seriously after his performance in the wild card game last year.
  11. Molitor's continuous use of Hildenberger has to be just to troll us, right?
  12. 1. Stop playing Bobby Wilson over Mitch Garver. 2. I'm not trading Kyle Gibson right now unless there is a top 50 prospect and another top 100 prospect included. Twins need him and there aren't a lot of available SP right now
  13. Holy cow. Since June 16th, Stephen Gonsalves has only given up 2 ER. That's 41.1 IP in that span
  14. I'm not a fan of this trade. To start with, the catcher offensive stats would be a lot better if Bobby Wilson hadn't been so terrible. He is clearly not part of the plans after this season. Also, the Twins have too many question marks for this trade to make sense. Who is playing 1B next year? Who is playing 2B? What if Buxton and Kepler don't develop offensively? What about Sano? I think it is safe to assume Romero is in the plans to be in the rotation next year. Who takes his spot? How does the rotation get better? I also don't like the idea of giving up those kinds of prospects for a catcher. People say Romero is one pitch away from needing TJ again. Well, Realmuto is one foul tip off the mask away from never being the same offensively again (see: Joe Mauer).
  15. I hate to talk poorly about prospects, but man Tyler Jay was a horrible pick. Pretty weird that a guy can go from making a couple spot starts on the big league team in his first option year to being released the next year. Was Jorge's recovery going really badly?
  16. Stewart's k/9 is 9.4 this season. A major improvement over his career numbers
  17. Dozier is something like 3 for his last 38. You can't keep throwing him out there every day when he is hitting like that.
  18. Akil Baddoo has to go on some kind of tear soon, doesn't he? Amazing how often he is getting on base without getting hits
  19. Small sample size and everything, but I haven't seen much discussion about Littell's increased k rate so far. That's now 25 Ks in 14 IP
  20. Does Joe Mauer have the record for most games using the same walk up song?
