The harder a ball is hit, the more likely it is to be a hit, and the more likely that hit goes for more bases.

Yasser Mercedes has been playing ok to good since the end of May. Unfortunately his 37 games in April/May were very bad weighing down his overall season numbers. I'm very intrigued with what he can do next season

"That doesn't mean Jax will be good until he's 40, but for the three seasons of team control he has left, there's good reason to hope he could be the next Garrett Crochet, Reynaldo López, or Seth Lugo." So you're suggesting Griffin Jax could be the next Crochet etc, and you're suggesting we trade him while he's 30, cheap, and under team control for 3 more years for an OF prospect who maybe can't hit and we don't need?

Should Christian Vázquez Be the Twins' Leadoff Hitter?
Tibs replied to Eric Blonigen's topic in Twins Daily Front Page News

I mean, weird response. Sure, the Twins can't just completely ignore an entire position group for a draft. Let's not pretend the organization has a remotely good track record with drafting HS pitchers the last ~10 years. HS pitchers drafted by the Twins and signed since 2013: Chase Petty Marco Raya Regi Grace Landon Leach Blayne Enlow Jordan Balazovic Tyler Benninghoff Matt Jones Jovani Moran Kohl Stewart Stephen Gonsalves Seth Wagner I apologize if I missed any. Not exactly a list of who's who

I'm a bit wary of drafting a high school pitcher this early but the current stuff and potential would be exciting.

I don't think it's exactly fair to include Canterino or Prielipp on this list. Pitchers get injured. That's why the acronym TINSTAPP exists. Canterino is clearly a good pitcher in the time he is healthy. As far as Prielipp, any time the Twins can draft a top 10 prospect with top of the rotation potential out of college in the 2nd round I'm all for it. They aren't getting top of the rotation guys in free agency so the draft is exactly where to take that risk. Cavaco was a questionable pick at the time and unfortunately they missed that one by a mile.

Twins Bring “Ripple Effect” With City Connect Uniforms
Tibs replied to Ted Schwerzler 's topic in Twins Daily Front Page News
I think I would have liked them quite a bit with some different color choices. I don't love the blues that were chosen but I can see the logic. I really don't like the yellow. I guess we'll see how they look on the field -
I'll give them a Dashawn Keirsey and one Brian Duensing

Open conversation about the state of the forums
Tibs replied to Brock Beauchamp's topic in Minnesota Twins Talk
I'll echo what many have commented already and I've commented this on articles before. I've been a member of Twins Daily for 11 years now this month. I couldn't tell you the last time I went into the forums to look at posts, let alone comment on one. Probably a few reasons for that, but the Twins Daily specific reason is the content on the front page. I still come to Twins Daily every day during the season to look over the minor league reviews but that's about it. Most of the rest of the content on the front page has been in clear decline the last 2 years or so. Daily there are articles posted that are obvious clickbait, random hypotheticals with clearly no point, or spreading negativity regarding the team/franchise. Even right now during a 10 game winning streak there are negative articles on the front page or article concepts that are completely pointless. Seeing that on the front page makes me not want to explore the rest of the site. Not only that, many of those topics should be forum posts instead of front page articles anyway.
