  1. I can't blame the decision makers for wanting to save some money when there clearly isn't one guy they love at #1. We have been hearing multiple names for months now. Hopefully it works out
  2. If they somehow pulled that off I would run to Minneapolis for the next home game. I live in Denver.
  3. Wright or Gore for me. I'd be pretty excited if Greene is picked as that would mean he was impressive when he was at Target Field recently and the front office believes in his secondary stuff. I do not want McKay unless he is signing for well under slot.
  4. Every interview Gonsalves does I always get the impression that he flat out understands how to pitch
  5. How is Jake Reed not in the MLB bullpen when he is throwing 134 mph? Do Falvey and Levine have any idea at all about what they are doing?
  6. If the ball keeps leaving Sano's bat at 100+ mph every time he makes contact I don't see his BABIP going down much.
  7. Is Tyler Benninghoff expected to pitch this year or will he still be rehabbing?
  8. Looks like Vargas played both games of the doubleheader yesterday. If that's the case, then I'm less upset about Escobar at the DH tonight
  9. I didn't realize Aaron Whitefield was doing so well in the slugging department
  10. Interesting start of the year for Aaron Slegers. He has three really good starts giving up 1 earned run in 21.1 IP and three bad starts when he has given up 16 earned runs in 12.2 IP. In two of his good starts he gave up no hits through 6 innings.
  11. Not a fan and don't completely understand the move, but I'll give the new front office the benefit of the doubt on having a plan until they give me reason not to.
  12. Yeah I wasn't trying to imply that #3 is his ceiling. When I read "bigger version of Ted Lilly" I don't think of #1 pick in the draft. Just a little concerned with that, but like I said, I know nothing other than what I have read on this site.
  13. I know nothing about McKay other than what Jeremy has said. I don't think it would be wise to draft a pitcher #1 overall who doesn't have legit ace potential. Is one spring enough to go from at least solid #3 to legit ace potential? If he is the #1 pick then I would rather it be as a hitter. It is definitely an interesting situation.
  14. He's 22 all season and in AA. How is 22 not young? According to baseball reference, Kohl Stewart is 2.3 years younger than the average age of players in his league. He could repeat AA next season and still be a year younger than average. How is that not young?
  15. He didn't get us to the playoffs and is no longer on the team. The trade wasn't worth it
  16. I am completely 200% against trading prospects for a reliever unless you are a WS contender and trading for Chapman/Miller. It's just not worth it. Chih-Wei Hu made his MLB debut for the Rays back on April 24. He only pitched once and they just sent him back down, but it would be nice to have him in our system instead of getting nothing out of Kevin Jepsen.
  17. JOE MAUER ok what the heck is going on
  18. I'm curious if the front office has Aaron Slegers in their plans at all. He's 24 basically the whole season (turns 25 September 2) and in AAA. We hear a lot about Gonsalves, Berrios, Stewart, etc but not much about him and he has been solid the last two seasons while climbing the ladder and was the pitcher of the year in the Big Ten.
