  1. Who cares? The vast majority of these guys aren't "prospects" or don't have successful 10+ year careers in MLB. The guy has already shown himself to be a good baseball player by what he is doing in AA. Clearly he has issues, but they have yet to have an effect on his production as he has moved up the ladder. I'm not sure why you are so hell bent on proving Adam Brett Walker is a bad baseball player and has no chance to make it in the majors. It's minor league baseball. It's baseball for Christ's sake. I'm not sure why we have to be so critical and analytical all the time. It completely takes the fun out of it. Let's enjoy what these guys are doing instead of constantly looking for their flaws.
  2. Tucker would be a great pick. Bregman is a good player, but not what I'm looking for with the #6 pick. Questioning if the top pitchers can stay in the rotation before their careers even start is concerning too. I don't view Cameron as a talent that is good enough to affect the draft strategy for the rest of the rounds because of his price tag.
  3. After reading this, I don't want anything to do with Aiken at 6 (unless something comes out between now and the draft). I wouldn't be unhappy with Allard. If they are confident and want him, go for it. Does the possibility of not having a pick as high as #6 for a while really have an effect on their decision here?
  4. Yes, but with the new bats they have been using the last couple years there isn't a huge difference between them and wood bats.
  5. At 27-18, the Twins would have to go 45-72 the rest of the season if it is going to be another 90 loss season. That's a .385 win percentage. 48-69 (.410) puts the Twins at 75 wins. The wheels would really have to come off for those to happen. Not impossible, but something is different about this team and I'm not inclined to believe a collapse of that magnitude will come. They are really on a roll right now.
  6. Since the Twins forfeited their 2nd round pick, does that mean they forfeit the money for that slot too?
  7. If the Twins ended up drafting Tucker, I would be sooooooo happy
  8. First of all, 9 triples in 39 games is stupid. Secondly, is Ryan Eades still viewed as a guy who could move quickly?
  9. It's good to see Zack Jones second in the minor league organization in BB/9 for relievers
  10. I'd be ecstatic if the Twins drafted Bregman or Tucker.
  11. I guess my question is how much is his BB stat being affected by all the hits he is giving up?
  12. Let's pretend that Max Kepler is still hitting well halfway through the season. Does being on the 40 man give him a chance of being on the Twins before September? His case is interesting to me as he was placed on the 40 man well before he was major league ready.
  13. I'm going with Kepler. Booser had 6 Ks in 2.1 IP. That's pretty impressive
  14. Good for you. That doesn't make a 25 year old not young.
  15. That's along the line of what I was thinking. I don't see people using the GO/AO stat specifically much so I wasn't sure what to make of it. There could be. Hitting fewer fly balls should result in a higher batting average but less power, generally speaking.
  16. On milb.com, it lists a players GO/AO stat. Aaron Hicks has a GO/AO at 2.00 through 25 games this season while his minor league career average is 1.15 and his MLB average is 1.18. Is there any significance in this stat?
  17. I don't know the severity of the injury, but high ankle sprains usually aren't a two week thing. A high ankle sprain can easily take over a month to recover from, many times 6 weeks or more. I'm assuming his replacement won't be getting just a quick look at AA.
  18. Seth is the last person I would expect to be biased towards top prospects. Check out other articles he has written if you truly believe that. Gonsalves put up better numbers than the rest of the pitchers while also being the youngest in relation to league average age with the exception of Hu.
  19. Kind of crazy that Miguel Sano has a .705 OPS, yet he is hitting just .162.
  20. Aaron Hicks has a .405 avg over his last 10 games now. He's now hitting .300/.357/.440/.797 vs RHP in only 50 AB
  21. Aaron Hicks' splits have started to even out a little bit vs RHP. .267/.333/.422/.756. He's also hit .371 over the past 10 games with 7 BB/4 K. I couldn't tell you if that is primarily against RHP or LHP as I don't want to go back and look through all the games
  22. It ain't over 'til it's over...
