  1. If someone could somehow teach Centeno to be better at picking up low pitches, he'd have a shot.
  2. Wow. Centeno isn't really a catch-and-throw guy, but he sure is a throw guy. Wow.
  3. I never played Oregon Trail, but I played enough similar games to laugh out loud a few times at the early posts in the thread. re Logan Schafer- I didn't know anything much about him other than his Rochester stats. I am astounded to see that we just called up a 29-year-old to start in center, who has been in the big leagues for almost 300 games and has a career OPS+ of 66. Huh. Interesting. Let's hope tonight is the night he breaks out.
  4. I'm sure Napoli is wondering how Mauer was allowed to make a catch that far into the stands. In Philadelphia they would have stolen his glove and probably tried to stab him. Or at least that's what I've heard.
  5. Twins vs. Blue Jays = baby seals vs. Norwegians
  6. Agreed. Watching santana triple-clutch as he strolled to second on that ball in the dirt was just about the last straw. I don't see the hope for the future if Molitor keeps playing guys with no future. Time to take a break.
  7. My god am I sick of watching Plouffe and D. Santana. Please just end this madness.
  8. My understanding is that on other planets, the term "alien abductions" refers to us capturing their tourists. Scares about this have affected people's travel plans but at least it keeps our restaurants from being so crowded. Plus we don't have to worry about interstellar exchange rates when they try to pay.
  9. I'd take his record this year over JR Murphy's output in Rochester. As far as being in Toledo, this is Detroit, where they love vets even more than Gardy did.
  10. I'd like to see Centeno catch a ball that bounces in front of the plate once before settling on him. He does some things well, but man is he weak on balls in the dirt.
  11. I believe the Hicks referenced above was not Aaron Hicks, but was John Hicks, the catcher we picked up from Seattle who was waived to make room for the outfielder who retired rather than get called up (Murphy?- too many Murphys and Hicks's in this thread). John Hicks was picked up by Detroit and currently has an OPS of .858 in AAA Toledo.
  12. Some high-quality relieving there, too.
  13. OK, that's a major league play there by Polanco.
  14. Apparently you picked the wrong day to stop sniffing glue.
  15. Boy, it looks like the Brewers traded GoGo just in time- not quite selling high, but at least getting out well before the bottom.
  16. I don't remember a Twins team ever having this many baserunning mistakes. Maybe I've just walled off that corner of my mind. Or maybe I'm old and I forget stuff, that could be it too. Nice inning here if Sano had stayed on second.
  17. Kepler and Polanco have really upped the watchability of the Twins lately. I stop what I'm doing when they are at bat. Except for watching, I mean.
  18. I hope Der Kid's family sticks around for the whole series. Tonight's game has not been representative for their boy. -- unless of course it freaks him out to have them watching. In that case, TD members should buy them tickets to Disney World.
  19. Or what Joe has done in the Trop his whole career?
  20. That was a nice bunt by Dozier...which I do not support.
  21. I was gonna ask you how Texas was, but you've just answered my question.
  22. Very glad to see Molly finally pinch-hit for someone in a key situation. Instead of pinch-running for Sano with Santana.
  23. Kepler and Sano haven't looked any better than Buxton tonight. We gotta get this Snell guy. Somehow.
