  1. Put your big boy rain pants on and play guys. I've been waiting all week for an evening game.
  2. I don't understand how this post doesn't immediately end this debate.
  3. Or she could just follow the Wild like a decent civilized human being. Plus then it will feel good when the Wild sweep them in the second round.
  4. Get thee behind me, satan.
  5. Yeah, Ive made my peace with the constant, rampant overreaction to a rediculous SSS. Regardless, I am still enjoying posting more this year than last.
  6. How am I feeling about the start of the season? You know that it would be untrue. You know that I would be a liar. If I was to say to you. Girl I couldn't get much higher.
  7. Even in my wildest fantasy I don't see us winning the division. 90 win wild card? Possible. But Cleveland could win 100 without breaking a sweat.
  8. Most of the hitters on most other teams are not in the rapidly rising portion of the learning curve, while many of ours are. Nor do many other teams have so many hitters with such high ceilings. I would bet our hitting improves more than most other teams' hitting improves over 6 months, 1 year, 3 years.
  9. RRW might be the best AAA team in a decade. That offense will beat up opposing pitching on a daily basis.
  10. I don't believe Buck will be hitting poorly in a month. If I'm wrong and he has to step back to move forward, obviously the outfield D takes a huge hit. I think he'll be fine.
  11. At this point last season they were 0-6, so I'm going to go ahead and speculate wildly while I can. I will predict 85 wins. We will play competitive baseball all year, but fade slightly down the stretch to fall out of the wildcard. Enjoyable season and next year better still.
  12. I don't think you can compare them in any meaningful stat way. I really liked Suzuki and the guy was so tough he could chew rocks and spit sand, but based solely on the eye and ear test I will echo the original sentiment and suggest both Castro and Giminez are calling excellent games. I did not feel that way with Suzuki. And no, this is not just about comparative W/L results.
  13. The balls will start falling. -Every old man ever.
  14. Hitting is hacking through jungle undergrowth with a machette...pretty cool. Bunting is fine scalpel work on a mitral valve. I'm just saying, I don't want an Amazon guide doing my heart surgery.
  15. STOP hating on the bunt. Just. STOP!
  16. I think this is the real Rubio. Healthy, familiar with Thibs system, good teammates around him. Oh, and an electric crowd pleaser. Add an impact SG or move Wig to SG and get a very good SF. That starting 5 is as good as ANY in the league. Now the bench...also needs work.
  17. I like that: Need vs Potential vs Safety. Wherever those graphs intersect is your pick. Hard not to go Green with the Potential and Need pieces so high. Whichever alternative we might choose better be off the charts in the Safety catagory; ie sure thing.
  18. Yes, but then I was never as critical of him last year as most around here. Regardless, I like what I'm seeing.
  19. I'm glad Buxton is still in the lineup. Without him in CF we are 2-2 at best right now.
  20. Bat him 9th, keep his D in the lineup.
  21. In my mind it's a foregone conclusion.
  22. Like for moderately obscure Major League reference.
