  1. I'd like to see Culpepper brought up and Lewis sent down, but you can certainly make a case for Arcia instead; especially if you want to give Culpepper more time at AAA.

  3. Is it posibleI that Wallner is awakening from his season long slumber? Who will the Twins pick up next off the discount rack for relief pitching? I see that Paddack is available...pass
  4. As always, thank you for the informative updates and great writing. I like this quote especially! "If a Wichita Lineman were listening in the wires for another score, he would be disappointed. Maybe he should take that small vacation, after all"
  5. I really like Ryan, but I can not conceive of the Twins paying him market value AND I can't see Ryan wanting to resign with the Twins. As noted by others, this is not a contending team. They should maximize Ryan's value through a trade.
  6. Keaschall and Lee are both looking better and better. I have to join the conga line and take my beatings over Larnach. I was convinced he should not have been tendered. Glad to be wrong. I still want to see the youngsters, but Larnach, at the least, is a more compelling trade chip.
  7. While Jenkins has had more than his share of injuries, his most recent injury does not conjure images like "made of glass". He smashed into the wall.
  8. How low can you go? Man, the entire Twins system is under a dark moon. Festa had a set back. Jenkins looks bad, but we can hope for the best. Emma took batting practice...so that's good. And Ryan...what's next?
  9. And Festa had a setback. Can the news for the Twins be any worse? Jeez!
  10. Sadly, if Ryan needs TJ surgery that is the ONLY way he could remain a twin as his market value will be diminished.
  11. Bradley has been excellent and the Twins are lucky to have the Rays as trade partners. Twins pitchers would all benefit from improved defense behind them.
  12. The Twins bullpen is truly a disaster and this past offseason, virtually nothing was done except bringing in retreads and cut outs (old music store reference). Whether that is what ownership dictated or what Zoll wanted to do, it was destined to fail.
  13. This was the trade that sent me over the edge. The others were pretty good and the Bradley for Jax trade was/is great.
  14. And to quote Paul Simon: "A man hears what he wants to hear and disregards the rest".
  15. I don't believe Raya is a top 20 prospect. Until he can throw strikes, he is, at best, a longshot.
  16. I have the same question regarding SS at St. Paul. Is Culpepper going to be called up to play SS? Or 2nd and demoting Keaschall? I think Keaschall deserves more leeway, but the Saints have two starting shortstops and two back up shortstops. Hopefully Marek Houston moves up to Wichita with that opening at SS. I also noted that Gabriel Gonzalez played first base. I haven't been paying attention, has he been getting time there? It is such a position of need and Gabriel seems to be hitting pretty well. If he moves up as a first baseman, that likely means the end of Clemens with the Twins.
  17. Yes; bring up Emma. Stated differently; "Heck Yes". And play him. Outman has no value and no team is going to pick him up. But I don't think he should be in St. Paul either. Just let him go. And I'd send Wallner down, but with Outman injured, I'm not sure that Gonzales is hitting well enough to replace him.
  18. Furthermore, you can't hide your lying eyes. Just looking at numbers doesn't cut it.
