  1. Yup, I don't care. He has proven he is not a major league player. Cut him. And don't let him take up a slot with St. Paul.
  2. I actually thought this was a good trade at the time it was made. Still remains to be seen, but I am hopeful that it was a good trade.
  3. Aggressive base running sounds good. A focus on catching the ball more effectively would be nice.
  4. Great article, 100% agree. Not only let the young pitchers pitch, but let's let the young hitter play as well. At least get Larnach and Outman out of the way to open things up.
  5. Dang it, you beat me to it. I was going to suggest Skubal...but whatever! That said, trade him for anything at all to unload his salary and open up at-bats for the guys coming up.
  6. Culpepper might not be as far off as you think...at least that is my hope...or perhaps wishful thinking. Oh heck, I don't know. Let's go with hoping.
  7. perhaps I'm blind, but I don't see it.
  8. I get that. I think the comments are in the guise of wishing to see. We don't know if our young prospects are going to be good major leaguers but I certainly don't want them blocked by players that have proven that they are, at best, mediocrities.
  9. I agree that if KC has an excellent spring, it would be interesting to make him the Twins SS. They can send him down if it's too soon. I'd like to see the same with a couple of our Outfielders, especially GG.
  10. I was not a fan of Falvey. Disliked him as a matter of fact. But since he has left, the dumpster diving has seemingly increased. I think that tells us pretty clearly that he was in the ownders shackles in terms of being able to build the team. Keeping our best players and dumpster diving is pretty much the definitive of taking half measures. The Pohlad family is simply not believable.
  11. Our best hope is a couple of converted starters turn into bullpen beasts.
  12. You can't fire the owners...as much as we would like to. Falvey's nibbling around for mediocre infielders has done nothing. And the miserable fielding players that he has acquired and held on to are 100% on him.
  13. You can't fire the owners. I don't really care why Falvey is gone. I do celebrate that he is no longer making decisions for the Twins. This off-season, the Twins have improved at catcher and....nowhere else. It does not appear to me that Falvey was troubled by how poorly the Twins field and how their team is loaded with DH's. Furthermore, this run of picking up mediocre, AT BEST, infielders has been frankly bizarre. Again, he has every reason to be frustrated by ownerships handcuffs, but good grief; the roster as it is constructed is not a good team.
  14. And this just in: Falvey launched by the Twins! Huzzah. Yes, I know the Pohlads are still owners, but for me this is very good news.
  15. Neither are difference makers. And "Iron Glove" Julien won't be missed either.
  16. For what it's worth, St. Pete is more interesting than Tampa...at least for me. Their waterfront is a blast and there are numerous pubs with great beer choices.
  17. I agree with this. It's a decent move that is only sad because, thus far, it's our big move with the bullpen. I am ever so curious to see if/which starter the Twins move to the pen. Those hoped for moves could make a bigger difference to the Twins fortunes. We all know the candidates...
  18. To me, this appears to be a prelude to trading Jeffers. I like the idea of moving Jeffers to first base (assuming he has aptitude for it); however, why did they sign Bell? Surely he wasn't signed to be a full time DH as the Twins have loads of candidates who have iron gloves and should dh...if anything at all.
  19. Maybe Morneau will come out of retirement...jeez
  20. I agree and I can't give much love to Raya, at least at the start of the season. Last year was too rocky and he needs to prove himself with St. Paul. It would be great if GG showed aptitude for first base.
  21. Neither player is a game changer and are, at best, the 13th guy on the bench. That said, the Dodgers liked Fitzgerald enough to grab him.
  22. Exactly. Fitzgerald over kreidler seems correct. I must be out of step, because I don't seem to agree much with what the twins are doing. Re-signing Larnach, picking up Josh Bell are additional examples.
