  1. For the entirety of the 2020 season, every player from the 2017 Astros should have to have their home walk-up music replaced with a song from "Stomp" (the Broadway musical where the percussion is all trash can lids banging.)
  2. I caught a shirt from TC's cannon at a Father's Day game two years ago, and gave it to the kid in front of me. But almost every other game at Target Field I've go the t-shirt cannon strapped to my back, so at least I've got that going for me. Which is nice.
  3. Can the Twins throw Sam Dyson in to sweeten the pot?
  4. 53% sliders and 41% change-ups? Astros would have tired themselves out just banging on garbage cans with him on the mound.
  5. Hoping for something other than blinding white or midnight black for Players' Weekend this year. That's the weekend to have fun with the uniforms. (And it's always enjoyable to read about the Yankees crying that they're the Yankees and shouldn't wear different uniforms.)
  6. Current Astro Ryan Pressly came in to pitch in the 4th for the Twins. While he didn't give up any runs, Pressly still heard a lot of bangs during Beltran's at-bat (gave up a single) and then immediately hit Gurriel (who still heard a bang) with a pitch. (Announcers talked about how frustrated Pressly was, which is likely an understatement.) After that, with a runner on second, Pressly and Castro switched up the signals, and there were no more bangs after that. Love to hear from Ryan Pressly on what it was like pitching against his future team while they cheated.
  7. My guess: for the first few weeks of the 2020 season, Marwin is going to hear garbage can banging when he comes to the plate from some unhappy fans in the crowd.
  8. Put Hrbek in the booth, but feed him constant servings of beer. I have a feeling by the 4th/5th inning things would get very interesting.
  9. I'll be there! Well, not there-there... but there, on the YouTube link, watching.
  10. Baldelli is a big believer in giving players rest. Playing time for Marwin should not be hard to come by, particularly early in the season (only two off-days in May, for example).
  11. If the answer to the question posed is "No" from Falvey and Levine, then they need to be prepared to change the answer to a "Yes" when an all-but-mathematically-eliminated team comes to them before the trade deadline, offering their top pitcher for Prospects X, Y, and possibly Z.
  12. It's a lot of pressure on the rookies, but eventually a Dobnak or Graterol is going to have to step up and solidify their spot in a rotation. It's how all future superstars start. Twins will probably see one-two bullpen games a week until Pineda joins, and then one-two every other week until Hill is healthy.
  13. Love me some Marney! Love the "Better Call Momma" homerun call. Remember at the end of 2018 when she worked nine positions in one game (including camera and ball girl down the line?) She's great at what she does, and she deserves the chance to do more.
  14. http://sportmascots.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/10/tc-bear-minnesota-twins.jpg Maybe the Twins will move on from the Bear and bring back the nightmare that was Twinkie The Loon (Twins' mascot in the 1980-'81 seasons.)
  15. So that means we'll get to see Astudillo and possibly even Buxton in the dugout during the postseason. (Someone has to take care of the squirrel.)
  16. Twins thought they were getting contracted in the early-2000s, so they just didn't care about MLB's rules. (Maybe.)
  17. To watch all (or as much as possible) of the MLB post-season, you need four different channels/stations/subscriptions: - TBS - MLB Network - FS1 - Fox (broadcast.) And that is ridiculous nowadays with so many contract disputes happening.
  18. What are the chances Duffy or May close out some of these games over Rogers? I hope Baldelli will use Rogers where he's needed (runners on with Brett Gardner up in the 7th, for example) versus saving our lefty closer for a ninth inning where he may face three batters with OPS above 840 against lefties.
  19. Are all games available on MLB.tv? (Subject to blackouts blah blah blah).
  20. I wish Dobnak could change his jersey number from 68 to 4.99/5.00.
  21. Downton Abbey premiered today (September 26th) in 2010. So, technically, the last time the Twins clinched the AL Central Downtown Abbey had not even premiered yet!
  22. "Let's f***in' party!"
  23. If Gibby is a reliever, he needs to start a clean inning. He's had some success doing that versus his disaster in Cleveland coming in with runners on in a tight game. Start the game or come in and let him throw one inning with no pressure of having to go back out for multiple. His slider is a swing-and-miss pitch; he should throw that 30-50% of the time in a relief appearance.
