  1. Good luck with your round today. Wish I could be on the course, rather than doing a bunch of "honey do" stuff. I still think that Arraez should be the regular lead off hitter for this team. Let's put another 10 spot on the board today, and hope that Archer can go more than his usual 4 innings.
  2. WOW! Rocco pulls Ober with 60 pitches after 3, but he leaves the Doof in last night to implode on us.
  3. He's at 60 pitches right now...the Roc won't leave him in too much longer no matter what.
  4. How about if someone just smacks him upside his head a couple times?
  5. That 4 spot in the 1st ain't lookin real strong right now.
  6. LOVE those crooked numbers!
  7. Great intro. I just try to be a better person, a better husband, a better father, a better head of my family...and less of a PITA to everyone else. Oh, and I wanna die with my boots on! GO TWINS!!!
  8. First it was Ryan, now Celestino...hopefully, it's going to end there. We sure as heck don't need some kind of Covid outbreak happening.
  9. Nice job by Smeltzer, only to have the Doof completely blow it. Can't believe Rocco didn't pull him before all that damage was done, and to not even have someone warming up was a total WTF moment. C'mon Rocco...what the hell are you thinking?
  10. His calf muscles won't do it.
  11. Gotta give Gio some love!
  12. Whether or not the knee issue is still bothering him enough to be a problem at the plate or in the field, I don't think any of us know. At some point, we have to trust their judgement and their process. I don't know if going on the IL is the way to go. My feeling is no. At least not right now. I'm sure he's getting treatment on the knee every day. The start he got off to this season, was fantastic and better than he probably actually is...and the slump he's in right now, is much worse than he actually is. I'm sure teams/scouts/pitchers have made adjustments based on that hot start, to get him out, and Buxton has to make adjustments to their adjustments to find his hitting groove again. He's always been a streaky hitter anyway, not a consistent on base machine.
  13. The other day Rocco said that Polanco's right ankle was sore and he was going to get a few days off. Hopefully, it's not a more serious issue.
  14. Arraez should be the leadoff hitter, not Buck.
  15. I think we're gonna see some extra inning fake baseball coming up.
  16. Ok...here we go...walk off time!
  17. Agreed. We're definitely not as good as our record, but we are finding ways to win games somehow. We might even do it again today. A lot of lucky breaks our way so far. Things have a way of evening out and I'd expect us to slowly fall back towards .500. No one is tearing the cover off the ball and the pitching can't possibly continue the way it has. I do think we've got the makings of a solid team, but we're not in the same category as NY, Hou, TB, LA, Tor etc. I also think the White Sox will eventually catch and pass us.
  18. I can see Archer as a broadcaster when his playing career is done. He's got a good speaking voice and is very articulate. I was impressed.
  19. Bout time we see that from Larnach! Very nice!
  20. Who are the two announcers on the game? If they said their names, I missed it. All I've heard is the analyst is Carlos? In any case, I don't recognize either guy.
  21. Just checked the radar again, and we might get lucky and get the game in. It might spit a bit from time to time, but there's a break for a while. It's pretty cool and windy though...only around 50 degrees. Pop ups might be an adventure. Let's hope Bundy has a decent outing.
  22. Just saw a report according to Rocco...Polanco is dealing with some right ankle soreness. Supposedly nothing real serious, but the Roc wants him to have a few days off.
  23. Just took a look at the radar...it's about 10:45 am currently. I'm in the south metro. There's going to be a break in the rain in about 30 min or so. Looks like it possibly could be somewhat dry for a few hours. It's windy as all hell though. The conditions won't be great, but there's a chance they could get the game in...or at least give it a go.
  24. Hope they play, but it's not looking good right now. Keeping the fingers crossed.
  25. Just my two cents...I'd give him whatever he wants to stay here. 5 years, 7 years, 10 years...whatever dollar figure it takes to keep him. If we don't, some other team will. We have the money to do it, just open the Pohlad wallet and get it done. CC's the best thing to come along the pike for us in a very long time. He's superb defensively, his hitting will only get better through the season...he's proved that, and he's such a positive influence in the clubhouse/dug out and leader for this team that's it's beyond measure. I don't care what our record is, we have to find a way to keep him.
