  1. You gotta have the horses, and even if you DO have them, they better be delivering, otherwise it doesn't matter what your history is. The Halo's are going thru a particularly bad streak, but this is pretty surprising. I think Maddon is a much better manager than Girardi is.
  2. They better give Sands a mild tranquilizer before the game tonight. He's probably in way over his head. I hope the Roc has the pen on standby right away, and he doesn't let Sands get torched for too long. I honestly don't think we have a snowball's chance in Hell to win this one.
  3. I don't know if going IL is the answer or not. Maybe. I guess it depends how hurt he actually is, and I don't think we know. For sure I'd drop him down to the bottom of the order. He's not a lead off hitter anyway. Arraez has to stay as the lead off hitter, and Rocco has to leave him there. When Buxton regains his stroke, he should be the #2 or #3 hitter, not lead off.
  4. I'd expect to see him here thru the rest of the season, but I have to believe he's gone after that. He seems to be really fighting himself too. He's completely lost his confidence. At one time, he was a relatively reliable middle relief guy, but he's always had trouble when put into higher level situations. He certainly isn't someone that could/can be trusted to close games. Yesterday was an absolutely a disaster, that almost resulted in blowing that 5 run lead. He's gotta go.
  5. As of today, my feeling is it would have to be Arraez.
  6. Now...if we could only figure out a way to take 2 of 3 against the Yankees this week. That would be impressive.
  7. That was difficult to watch. We were a whisker from blowing that game.
  8. Challenge the slide? C'mon Roc...what are you doing?
  9. Just as I feared. Is a 5 run lead gonna be enough for Duffey?
  10. He's still hitting 103 on the gun, so he seems ok, but don't be surprised if the doof gets the 9th.
  11. Sanchez needs to be the #1 catcher and Jeffers the back up. Much more valuable at the plate than Jeffers, and we're not losing very much defensively. Also, enough with playing them together and alternating them at catcher and DH.
  12. If there is such a thing as a "natural" lead off hitter these days...then Arraez is it. He needs to stay there.
  13. Smith has really digressed. Over use maybe?
  14. This game ain't over just yet.
  15. Larnach continues to show that he belongs up here and play everyday.
  16. Gausman doesn't have it working today...we HAVE to throw another crooked number up there.
  17. No way I'd move Royce for either of those two pitchers.
  18. We need another solid start by Smeltzer today. That, and to score some runs on Gausman. It sure would be nice to take 2 of 3 from the Jays. Tough homestand coming up. Hopefully, we get some guys back for that.
  19. How the hell does Angel have a job? He's unquestionably the worst ump...maybe in MLB history. Does he have his eyes closed most of the time?
  20. Well Mr Wilfong...you might get your position player pitching wish to come true today. I don't know who it's gonna be, but things are trending that way.
  21. Unfortunately, you're probably right, but no offense meant...I really, REALLY, hope you're wrong.
  22. From the look on Bundy's face...I think he knows that he'll be on the street soon.
