  1. That's the best line up we can throw out there. Hopefully, we can get something going against Cole. He can turn in a clunker every once in a while too...you never know, this could be it. Bundy has to somehow find a way to keep us in the game. If the evil empire goes off on him early, then we're more than likely dunzo.
  2. Miranda has been a little more lucky than good since he came back up, but that's ok. He's been getting some dinks and dunks, but he does have the occasional rocket too. He'll get better with more playing time. I'd definitely keep him in the line up. His defense isn't anything to write home about. They should have Morneau work with him at 1B, especially with his footwork. I'd take him over Sano any day of the week and twice on Sundays.
  3. No question...I think all of us would put Duran out there above any of the others. Jax has been pretty good, T-Bar has been decent. I think other than that, it's a total crap-shoot. I wouldn't trust any of the rest...especially Pagan and Duffey.
  4. My expectations for Bundy tonight are pretty low. I wouldn't be a bit surprised if he gets lit up right away in the 1st inning. His confidence and body language looked like a totally beaten man the last time out. If by some miracle, he can somehow get thru 4 innings and only give up 3 to 5 runs, I'd consider it a major success. Gotta hope for the best tonight, and hope Cole has an off night just like Cortes did.
  5. It sure would be nice to get Alcala back asap.
  6. Whole different vibe when CC isn't playing. Swagger factor is gone when he's gone.
  7. Textbook! Well...Rocco's textbook.
  8. Wow! I missed seeing that. He must have said "Darn" to the ump.
  9. BRRR...too cold. I like the summer snow globe a lot better.
  10. I wanna get one of these Mn Twins snow globes!
  11. Agree to disagree. I'm not going to debate it. Obviously, no one knows for certain about his symptoms. If he did indeed have any of that going on, why activate him at all? Just my two cents. If he's healthy enough to be activated, he should be healthy enough to play in the field. This "easing" him into the line up is baloney.
  12. Chief...you're not missing anything, and it's not nit-picking either. It just makes absolutely zero sense not to have CC at short. I really believe Rocco's master plan...is to not have any plan.
  13. I don't have the expertise to offer a defense for Rocco. I think Perry Mason would have a difficult time coming up with a defense for him.
  14. No doubt I was expecting them to lose last night, but they hung in there and were close for a while. The way Taillon was pitching before last night, I figured he would blow us away. We had him on the ropes and just couldn't get a key hit. When it got to be 5-4, I thought we maybe had a shot, but of course Duffey and Megill got rocked. I think if there was a game in this series that we had a chance to win, last night was it. I can't see us beating Cortes and Cole, especially with Archer and Bundy going for us. We're gonna get swept.
  15. That's ok...Rocco doesn't even understand Rocco's rules for when a starter faces the lineup a 3rd time.
  16. Polanco is starting to be Roberto Duran out there...hands of stone.
  17. The 1st inning looked scary, but Sands looks like he's got a smidgen of confidence now. If he could go 5 and somehow keep it at 3-1...who knows? At least they're not kicking 8 kinds of dog crap out of us...yet.
  18. This could be funny...if it wasn't so sickening.
  19. Agreed. If Sands gets lit up in the 1st...which is a distinct possibility, just leave him in there to take the hit. I think most of us have this one checked off as a loss anyway. Then, throw Duffey in there to get smoked some more.
  20. Disappointing, but I guess not totally surprising given the way they do things.
  21. CC cleared the protocols, so I'd think he'd be available. I was hoping he'd be playing tonight. We need all hands on deck, especially with Sands starting.
