    You didn't say how old your boy is, but no matter what...he'll never forget the experience. You always remember the first big league game you go to. He'll have a blast. I hope he gets a bunch of signatures and that you both enjoy the game...with a Twins win!

    We're supposed to be able to listen to the Twins radio feed on these youtube games, but it's not working...at least for me it isn't. I can't switch from Braun and Alonso. They're putrid.

    The Roc is mixing the line up around again I see. Oh well. We need to score some runs! I think we should get Kirilloff back up here, put him in the line up, and stop playing Jeffers and Sanchez at DH and catcher in the same game. Kirilloff is raking for the Saints.

    Looks like a good pitching matchup on paper. Gilbert will be tough, so hopefully Ryan is at full strength and gives us 5-6 solid innings. The line up is good...except for Jeffers. I love the A-B-C's! If I make it past the 3rd inning, it'll be a miracle. Let's win another one out there tonight!

    I'm sure they'll be looking to move him, but whether or not anyone is interested...that's another matter. Maybe some team will be interested in a DH type for the balance of this season. I'd really rather not see him back with us, but it's a definite possibility that he is. I don't wish him any ill will, but it's way past time he played elsewhere.

    The Brewers must be in worse shape for pitchers than we are.

    That would be Arraez, Buxton, and Correa. I'd sure love to see those three guys at the top of the Twins line up for the next 5-7 years! I can dream, can't I?

    Unfortunately, I won't make it too far into the game...never do on the west coast trips. I'll be watching the back of my eye lids after an inning or two. That's what happens when you get old and decrepit. Hopefully, the guys brought the bats with them on the trip. At least the Roc gave Jeffers the night off! Maybe Archer can build on his last start and give us 5 or 6 good innings. Go Twins!

    He's still young and a work in progress, but he's been very disappointing this season. He's nearly an automatic out at the plate, and his defense is average at best. I think everyone expected him to take a big step up this year, and it went the other way. If your catchers strongest attribute is his pitch framing, then you're in trouble. There are plenty of other catchers that can do that, and hit better too. It's real tough to carry a guy that hits around .175 as a regular player. I'd definitely like to see an upgrade behind the plate.

    We just don't play fundamentally sound baseball...on several levels. For a team that apparently puts a lot of weight on analytics, that just doesn't seem to make any sense to me. Do we even make an effort to teach and improve fundamentals? In the minors? Up here? It's baffling.

    Sands sure doesn't inspire confidence, but if we can put enough runs on the board...who knows? I'm hoping for the best. I thought Arraez would be "scheduled" for a day off today, so it's a pleasant surprise that he's playing. I like him much better at the 1 spot, but at least he's in there. Best of luck to our guys today...I'd love to break out the broom!
