    My opinion is...which combined with $20 will get you coffee at Starbucks...is that they can both be bad. Very bad. Of the two, in general, I think pulling a guy too late is worse. Last night, I think Ryan was pulled too soon. I would have let him start the 7th and see what happens. You can always pull him right away if he gets into trouble. Maybe it works out...maybe it doesn't, but last night sure didn't. Btw...I have no idea how much coffee is at Starbucks, but I know I can't afford it.

    Thanks Rocco. Pull a starter who's cruising...only given up one hit, no runs, and only 87 pitches. Why not let Ryan start the inning, and at least see what happens? If Ryan gets into any trouble...then you pull him.

    I'm looking forward to seeing Ryan go to 6-0. Also can't wait to see the Sox play their usual "keystone cops" stellar defense.

    The initial report I saw said cash "or" a PTBNL. It appears that was incorrect, as was I. Subsequent reports I've seen say cash "and" a PTBNL. That seems to be the deal.

    Reports are he's going to be shut down and miss at least a month, then reevaluated. Looks like he could be done for a while.

    No doubt that Mahle has been a disappointment for us, due to the injuries. Even when he's been healthy enough to pitch, he really hasn't shown a whole lot. Hindsight being 20/20, we shouldn't have made the trade for him. I've said it before...I'd much rather see Ober and Varland in the rotation than Mahle, and now with Maeda out, we'll need both of them.

    From what I read in the Trib this morning, it had to do with them needing his fingerprints, and that they had to do it in person. Kind of odd timing.

    The rain is moving out of the metro, so I believe they'll get the game in, but it's gonna be a cold, raw, nasty night at the ballpark. Hopefully, no one gets hurt and we win it.

    If you thought the stands were pretty empty last night, just wait until today's game. It's going to look almost like pandemic baseball. Hopefully, Lopez has a good game in the rain and cold.

    I just want to get AK up here and see what happens. Finally see what he can do. I hope he's healthy...or at least as healthy as he's been in a long time. I hope he plays regularly and shows all of us that he can be a very good hitter again. It'll be interesting who they move to open up a spot for him.

    Absolutely 100% correct. Rocco waived the white flag today. No way Maeda should've been left in that game...he was getting killed.
