  1. The remote is getting a workout today...between the Twins game and the PGA tourney. It's a real struggle.
  2. What, if anything, is Lopez doing differently the last 3-4 starts? I don't think his pitch mix is different, but his command isn't quite as good as the first several starts. His velo is the same, so that's not it. He just seems a little bit off. I'm maybe not picking up on whatever it is.
  3. Remember all those great Oriole teams from the 60's and 70's? Brooks Robinson, Frank Robinson, Boog Powell, Paul Blair, Mark Belanger, Dave Johnson, Elrod Hendricks...and the pitching staffs with Jim Palmer, Mike Cuellar, Dave McNally...I'm sure I'm forgetting a whole bunch of guys. Those were some great teams.
  4. Mind if I ask...what are you putting in?
  5. Most, but not all. There's a lot of very intelligent people on this site.
  6. I would agree. Larnach has a good arm, but Gallo's is better. It could be just one of those "genius" moves by Rocco.
  7. According to MLB, here's the lineup: 1 Gallo LF 2 Correa SS 3 Kirilloff 1B 4 Julien DH 5 Farmer, 3B 6 Larnach RF 7 Castro, CF 8 Solano 2B 9 Jeffers C Lopez - Pitching
  8. Ohtani will be tough to beat. I'm hoping for him to be off his game a bit, for Lopez to be sharp...and for a miracle.
  9. Buxton in CF? Not gonna happen. I sure hope he's fine and nothing serious happened with his knee, but I believe when he comes back, he's the DH for the duration. Even though he didn't get hurt playing the outfield, they won't take a chance on putting him out there. That's just the way it's gonna be.
  10. Just saw that Polanco is going on the IL.
  11. I don't know how "unlucky" he is...he's just not very good.
  12. If all you're going to use him for, are low leverage/mop up situations, then I'd be ok with keeping him around for a little longer. No way can he be trusted in a situation like yesterday, no matter what the availability is of other pen arms. He will absolutely let the team down in anything other than mop up duty. Preferably, I'd LOVE to see him elsewhere, but for some reason this FO wants to keep him here. He really needs a fresh start on another team, and we need to be rid of him.
  13. I really hope it's not Garlick.
  14. Just read that he fractured his shin on that foul off his leg. He's going to be out a while.
  15. There has to be a way to get Pagan off this team.
  16. This ineffective bases loaded crap has to stop.
  17. I'd maybe have let Larnach hit there. Go against the damn sheet for a change.
  18. It's time to open a can of whup-*** on these guys.
  19. Last I knew of...Ford was actually still playing ball for an independent minor league team, and he's gotta be close to 50 now. Something called the Atlantic League of Professional Baseball. He's a player coach for the Long Island Ducks, and Wally Backman apparently is the manager. Ford had one decent year for the Twins.
  20. When I saw that Solano and Castro were in the lineup, against Kershaw, I thought we were dunzo. I was wrong. They held their own and Ober was very good. Great win! I'd LOVE to win the finale today!
