  1. Just LOVE having that renowned lefty masher in our lineup!
  2. I just saw Thielbar went back on the IL with the oblique, and Winder up to replace him.
  3. Looks like Rocco pulled them out of the hat again. Might as well...nothing else seems to be working. Never thought I'd be disappointed to see Kep sitting. Maybe they'll shock us and hang 3 or 4 runs on the board.
  4. Right now, the Twins hitters would have a hard time in a wiffle ball game.
  5. Well...that sure changed in a hurry.
  6. Maybe that'll wake CC up and he'll get something going.
  7. Now, if Polanco did a hammy...or whatever his injury is...don't wait 5 days to IL him, and get Julien on the next flight.
  8. I really don't care for the constant lineup juggling, with guys hitting in different spots every day. Every game is a different lineup. I know...I'm old and old school, and it's all matchups and various analytics. Yeah, I'm nit picking today.
  9. This FO has always done this for some reason. They need to make any Il decision much faster.
  10. I'm hoping for the best...but I'm expecting the worst. Maybe we can somehow salvage one game down there. Glasnow was supposed to start for TB, but they pushed him back a day. That could help us.
  11. I haven't seen this info, but I know it's been rumored to be true. If Kepler really did tell Rocco, or the FO, that he won't play CF at all...then that would be the final straw. He's got to go...NOW. If he's not willing to help the team ANY WAY HE CAN...then he shouldn't be on the roster. What's best for the team is the most important factor. Just DFA him immediately.
  12. CB Bucknor's having a real good evening. He must have a hot date after the game, and wants to get the heck outta there.
  13. Someone has to refresh my fossilized memory...how did we get Stewart?
  14. Damn...Pablo is giving us a very nice start tonight...and we're gonna get goose-egged again. This is sickening.
  15. I tend to agree with that. He's got something going on. Whether it's mental or physical...who knows?, I'm certainly no expert, but I don't think he's operating anywhere near 100 %. I still think he's having trouble with his eyes and vision. The migraines could be involved too.
  16. Lopez looks pretty good. Five innings and only the one run on the homer. I'm a lot more worried about our offense scoring a run! Or do we get shut out again?
  17. He's definitely a hot dog with extra mustard. He needs to be taken down a notch or two...or three.
  18. The Rays are a very good team and have been for years, but they don't draw worth a damn down there. They've been trying to get a new baseball stadium built there forever, and if they ever do, no one will go to that either. If there's a worse ballpark than the Metrodome was, the Trop is it.
  19. Unless he's gonna come here and teach 4 or 5 players how to hit consistently and not strike out, what difference does it make?
  20. My two cents...this current group is a very long way from being a solid, competitive team. We're starting guys night in and night out, that would have a hard time making the AAA roster for a lot of other teams in the majors. Injuries certainly have something to do with that, but not in all cases. For some reason, we've always had an inordinate number of injuries. Other players have underperformed for years. Some, if not all, of this dead wood has to go. The players that we're counting on to lead this team and perform well...have been complete disappointments so far. What is the core reason for all of this? Is it the FO? Is it the manager and coaching staff? Is is solely on the players? What is going on here? There's no doubt that changes have to be made, and made soon. We're in the worst division in all of baseball, and we're barely keeping our head above water. When we play good teams, they dominate us. At what point do you blow this thing up? It's disappointing and embarrassing at times, to watch this team on the field.
  21. Dick just mentioned that Arraez is now at .401.
