  1. Lee could still move to utility and play all around the INF
  2. I still think that the Rocco way of managing his SP went a long way to Sonny wanting out.
  3. Value in a trade is greater at the deadline this year as an additional year of control is something teams will want. Still a value next year, just not going to bring as much value back. Personally I would love to see Tom P but the money where his mouth is and extend both Ryan and Pablo NOW. Jeffers as well, although with him being a Boras client and having the year he was having - that ship may have sailed. You can never have too much pitching and signing these two gives us plenty of depth to maintain a competitive team as the youngsters trickle in. The possible WorkStopage next year is a real thing and will affect a lot along the way. The Big boys will still go for it, but smaller market teams will have to play this close to the vest
  4. We live in a different world with player contracts and union issues and a greater difference between the large and small market teams. Makes sense to hold prospects back at the moment
  5. I am on board, We don't need a complete tear down, as we have pieces to build around. Lopez, Ryan, Able, Taj, Preilipp, Mathews and SWR give you 7 arms. Jeffers injury hurts. But some BP pieces can come together, and I think Festa will be part of that with Morris, and most likely SWR. Rojas has a role as well.
  6. Would love to see the Twins tell Lewis to grab a 1B mitt at St. Paul
  7. Maybe they give him his cup of coffee during the upcoming paternity list visit by Gray...........who else? They sure aren't bringing Lewis back for a short stint. His ego needs a correction as well as his swing
  8. Topa DFA'd. Now a decision on Jeffers as if we need a roster spot for Jackson someone needs to be removed from 40 man
  9. I believe the cold weather and conditions are also dictating some of this. If he is close.
  10. That is extremely accurate - we won't get three; so Buck so someone will have to call shotgun
  11. Rojas goes back to St. Paul soon, just not ready. I would like to see Funderburk back up for him, but he walks too many as well. SWR is one I have always liked, but he is hurting us now. Only option is to move to a swingman in the BP. Trade value is zero.
  12. I need to have some of what you are drinking..................Now would be the time though. An emerging rotation with a veteran catcher. However, this also means extending Ryan and Lopez.
  13. Losing Jeffers next year will hurt, bad. The extension window may have been missed, and with Boras as an agent it is even worse.............
  14. Depth is being challenged - SP injury squad of Pablo, Able, Taj, and the near-miss Ryan could use some depth at STP. Plus could be a swing man out of the BP. Better option than some others we have signed, that is just my thoughts
  15. It might be time to salvage the Sheriff off the waiver wire for some depth
  16. I am admittedly confused on that move - he deserves to stay over others in the BP
