  1. Trade deadline would be so much better if moved to the middle to end of August
  2. Can we package Royce along with Erod for Hancock from Seattle? Jeffers and Garver have a history and Seattle might not want to bring that into the clubhouse. You can even throw in Fedko/Wallner if you need to.
  3. I will admit, I am not a prospect guy.. I understand we have many that have value, but then again people wanted McCusker and Fedko and I am not sure they are/were MLB caliber. I agree we can't unload the farm to go for it this year, but I would like to build around what we have and use that MiLB talent to supplement the roster in the future
  4. I truly don't understand the desire to get Culpepper up? Without a move - who goes? I prefer to leave him where he is until necessary at this point
  5. Hancock from Seattle is the only name I have seen that I would part with Jeffers and Erod in a deal with. However, Jeffers is a top hitting catcher that Twins fans need to be signed to an extension............ if we are going to trade a catcher, then let it be Caratini. He can play 1B and get a prospect for. I like Jackson as the backup
  6. That is an infield of prospects and potential - failing of TD in general is way too many put too much value in prospects being kept, versus dealing some
  7. I am hoping all are still here. Jeffers then should get a QO and try and sign him. Larnach is too valuable to us, and won't bring back a sure things. Ryan has lost value and we need to keep as well
  8. I am hoping that they also trade ERod in a package with one of those two for another arm
  9. I think they just might hold onto all three. Both Jackson and Caratini can play 1B. Bell and Martin might get flipped
  10. The only one I really agree on is Jeffers. I don't want to see him go, however if he is going to test free agency then getting something is needed. Ryan - extend, extend Buxton is NOT going anywhere and the Twins should not even ask him to waive his no trade cause. Stay a Twin for life Wallner can go - but won't bring back much. I prefer to keep Lewis. I have soured on him some since he first broke in, but still believe he can be a key cog. Caratini needs to be kept as we can't move forward without both him and Jeffers Larnach won't bring back much and the youth isn't ready, nor will all of them succeed.
  11. but we still have Gray if we need to bring him back up
  12. That is something we don't know and IF he wants out, like Berrios did, then you need to do it after the season.
  13. That is correct - and the depth should help to maintain the roster through moves and continued development of arms
  14. I agree with your last point, however the 1987 Twins roster was not a championship roster either - but they are the WS champions. I think Joe can be a building block to help elevate the next few years to a championship caliber roster.
  15. With the parity in the AL a complete rebuild is not necessary. Win back the fans by extending both Ryan's. Rotation is then Pablo, Joe, Taj, Abel, Bailey w/depth behind them. Parades and Festa as BP pieces. Then you have plenty of depth to trade some prospects for to fill in hole. Fans will come back and farm system is set to supplement either via call ups or trades for a few years.
  16. Jackson in a package with ERod would get a better return
  17. If still in contention, that projects to most likely Arcia
  18. Fundy or Rogers could be replaced by Coloume if we could get him
  19. Same as you get with Bell. Wallner/Martin not much more than a lottery ticket. I am not a believer that ERod will reach his ceiling, and even if he does, all of the OF prospects can't all be on the team. He is the one I trade for help
  20. Now get Ryan signed and you have Pablo, Joe and Taj to lead the SP
