  1. Let Thorpe take Shoemaker's spot in the rotation. Send Shoemaker to the bullpen to be the long reliever. Release Colome. Release Cave. Call up Broxton to take Cave spot on the roster. When Sano comes back, let Garlick go.
  2. This team needs a new identity. Cave needs to go, Dobnak and Rooker need to be demoted, Call up Law, AK and Broxton. I really think Twins need a TK type manager. Twins need to play fundamental baseball because that's why we love the game of baseball.
  3. A lineup of Buxton, Arraez, Cruz, Kirilloff, Donaldson, Kepler, Garver, Broxton, Simmons should be good both offensively and defensively. (Reserve: Polanco, Sano, Jeffers, Astudillo). Starters: Maeda, Berrios, Pineda, Shoemaker, Happ. Bullpen: Alcala (closer), Rogers, Robles, Duffey, Law, Thorpe (long reliever) Colome (low leverage and mop up) and Thielbar (mop up). Cave needs to go, Garlick and Dobnak need to be demoted.
  4. A lineup of Arraez, Donaldson, Cruz, Buxton, Kirilloff, Kepler, Sano, Garver, Simmons should be good enough offensively.
  5. Thorpe should utilize his sliders and off-speed pitches more and he really needs to locate his fastball. He is going to be killed if he keeps throwing his low speed fastball in the middle of the plate. I think Thorpe has the stuff to be successful. He just has to trust it and be smart.
  6. Release Cave, call up Broxton. Demote Dobnak, call up Law. Let Thorpe be the long man instead. Let Alcala be the closer. Trust starters more and let them pitch through. I just don't have much faith in this bullpen.
  7. Garver and Polanco are not much better. I would give Jeffers more rope for playing much less. Yes Jeffers really needs to start hitting.
  8. Polanco should be benched and Cave should be let go. Dobnak should be demoted and Colome should pitch 6th or 7th, Alcala should be the closer.
  9. Bullpen is going to be a problem. I said it before season even started. With the extra inning rule this season, bullpen has to be stronger than ever. Instead FO let 4 quality bullpen arms walk and only obtained 2. Why do Twins waste money on Dobnak?
  10. I think Kepler should bat 6th or 7th for now.
  11. May, Clippard, Wisler and Romo are gone. Colome and Robles are here now. Robles really struggled last season. I would only give this bullpen a C.
  12. Half of those relievers are gone. May, Clippard, Romo and Wisler are gone. I think bullpen is going to be the problem this year.
  13. I think this bullpen is a little thin. They lost May, Wisler, Clippard and Romo and only got Colome and Robles(who had a bad 2020 season). They need to sign Clippard.
  14. Jeffers is starting. Garver is going to be the backup catcher for now.
  15. Rooker should be on the roster instead of Kirilloff early in the season. Both Alcala and Stashak could be the long reliever. This team could carry 14 pitchers if needed. I think the bullpen is a little weak (losing 3 or 4 guys from last season and getting only 2). They really need to sign Clippard.
  16. You just can't unload everybody! Buxton, Duffey and Kepler should stay for now.
  17. Goodbye: Romo, Avila, Gonzalez Come on back: Clippard, May, Cruz If Price is right: Hill, Odorizzi, Adrianza Please trade: Cave, Rosario, Sano Please promote as many capable young players as possible.
  18. I would like to see May and Clippard come back. Clippard is consistent and he does not cost much. I am certainly not comfortable with Dobnak / Smeltzer/ Thorpe on the major league roster.
  19. I disagree, I have a lot more confidence in May than Rogers. I think May can be special when it matters the most. He's the only reliever who did well in those two playoff games this year.
  20. How can you be sure that those prospects are ready? Kirilloff had only 4 ab in the ML. Rooker is not a good outfielder and he should be the first baseman of the future. Sano could either be traded or be the DH. Btw, I can understand not to sign Cruz because some of the prospects might be ready. However it's going to be impossible to replace his bat with any prospects they have. Pineda has been productive when he's healthy. If he didn't have the suspension, he could have made more starts. I don't think it makes sense not to extend him if he's healthy and productive again next season. Well since age is the concern here, I can see Twins only give him one year extension. Signing Berrios is not a sure thing. Buxton can never stay healthy. I don't think Twins have enough starting pitching in the minors. Well you can never have enough pitching. Prospects are prospects. They need to prove they belong in the ML. You should not put a minor league team on the major league roster.
  21. We have been swept by our opponents in post season for a long long time.
  22. Who is going to be on the roster if they let everyone go? Cruz needs to be brought back even if it's a two year deal. They need to extend Pineda, Pineda is at least consistent and he could eat up innings if needed. Pineda is a good #3 pitcher. Hill should be a good #4 pitcher. Odorizzi should be gone.
  23. All Twins hitters should watch tonight's game (Yankees vs Indians) and take notes. See how those Yankees hitters take care of their business. It feels like all their hitters are either Arraez or Cruz and they can get runs across at will.
