    I just saw the stats: this season when RISP Escobar bats .367 with 5 homers and 43 RBIs. That's clutch. Dozier is absolutely clutch in this game.

    Rodney might be the best to get out of the jam and he did. I think it's a good move.

    Matheny was fired after 2-8 loss to the Reds. Molitor is still employed after 6-19 loss to the Rays. Different standard indeed.

    I can't wait for Dozier gone. He is way overrated. He might be a table setter. He hardly delivers when it really matters.

    He needs to get more swinging strikes in order to have any consistent success in the major league. His fastball looks like meatball in the major league.

    I think he nailed it. Signing Belisle, Motter, Wilson & Morrison are examples of creating own problems. Unwisely using or overusing bullpen arms is another example of that.

    Sure. But save a few players who have hearts though. Trade Lynn, Rodney and Dozier. Extend or sign Gibson, Escobar and Duke. If Rodney is willing to be a set up guy, sign him for another year as well. Giving Rodney a clean inning of work in the 7th or the 8th would be ideal.

    Trust me, no other club would let Belisle stay that long without producing anything positive.

    The Cubs just designated Chris Gimenez for assignment after 32 at bat. The Twins still let Bobby Wilson to start a game every other game. How many at bats is Bobby Wilson going to get this season with the Twins? That's why this team is losing. No one seems to care including the management. Morrison, Motter and Wilson all should have been DFAd in anywhere else.

    Morrison has been worse. Vargas is still relatively young. I believe Vargas can at least hit over .200 in the major league.

    You have to give the credit when it's due. The Brewers has a monster bullpen. It's the best in the major league. Today's starter is its best starter with an ERA of 2.87. Hader is going to the All Star game this year. Their closer is a shutdown closer. Was their closer an All Star last year? I believe the Twins will see Jeffress tomorrow if it's a close game. Another dominant reliever who is going to the All Star game this year.

    The Brewers have more than one. At least 2 maybe 3 dominant relievers. Jeffress has a better ERA than Hader. Well the Brewers have 5 relievers having better ERA than its closer. The closer's ERA is 3.05 and he struck out the side in the 9th today. This is a monster bullpen.

    Rodney should be a set up guy period. He has better stuff than Reed. He is just not a real closer anymore. He should not be trusted to close when there is only a one-run lead.

    I really hope this is the last time we need to worry about him since he should be traded soon. Thank God for no more Rodney experience.

    Unless they are getting a major league ready starting pitcher back, they should not trade Gibson, they should extend him instead. They need at least two good starting pitchers (Berrios and Gibson) in the rotation next year.

    I would trade Lynn, Odorizzi, Duke, Reed, Rodney before I even think about trading Gibson because I don't think most of the starting pitching prospects are ready. Think about it, Santana and Lynn will be gone, Odorizzi is still not consistent. They might as well keep Gibson because they need veterans in the rotation.

    At this point the Twins should do anything possible to improve its offense without adding too much financial burden. Morrison, Wilson and Motter have been struggling all season. They should be let go.

    Red Sox's minor leaguer Adam Lind might be a good backup first baseman if Morrison keeps struggling. Lind can opt out his minor league contact with the Red Sox on Sunday.

    Dioner Navarro plans to sign with Long Island Ducks. He should be an upgrade over Wilson and he's a veteran and one-time All Star. I know they love veterans. Navarro is a good defensive catcher. Rupp has been struggling in AAA. I think they are going to let Rupp go soon. Let's go get Navarro.

    The Cubs players hardly strikeout looking in the game, they just kept swinging and making contact. That's how they got 17 singles and 3 doubles. Like yesterday you will get lucky if you put the ball in play every at bat because it's not easy to field the ball especially on the ground. I don't care too much about walks. I really would like the team to swing at pitches. It would be better to go down on swinging instead of looking. It would be great if all the hitters on the team are contact hitters like Astudillo.

    Morrison? It's a mistake. Belisle? They signed him because they were drunk. Wilson and Motter? They need veteran players and those two happen to be available and able to field those positions. I am sure they are looking for someone better offensively now.

    Come on worst to first? Who was the manager when the team was the worst? Not Molitor? First??? Are you sure? Barely made the one game playoff and lost? That's what you meant FIRST? Please make sense.

    Belisle is what a losing team really needs. Typical mop up pitcher!

    He hasn't been the same since he was hit by Porcello. It's so important to protect your players.
