By taking Jeffers out, Baldelli was rewarded with a 4-pitch strikeout (looking at all 4 pitches, I don't think Garver was even ready), a double play (first pitch swinging) and a poor framing catcher to play the defense.
  2. jun
It almost feels like Baldelli intentionally managed to lose this game.

This team has a new record! Twins just set a NEW North American post season losing streak record. They will have a chance to extend the record tomorrow. Well it could also be their last game of the season. As noted by MLB.com's Sarah Lang, 27 of the other 29 teams have won a post season game since the Twins last won one. The Mariners and the Marlins are the other two exceptions. Since then 18 teams have won at least 10 postseason games and 10 have won at least 20.

I think tomorrow is Wednesday not Thursday right? Let's not get so far ahead.
  5. jun
Well to be fair, if Polanco made that easy play, Romo would have gotten out of the inning without giving up any run though.
  6. jun
Polanco should be left out of the roster for the rest of the series.
  7. jun
Maeda should get one more inning, May should get one more inning, even Rogers could get one more inning, Alcala should be on the roster and he could give at least 2 innings. Dobnak should not be on the roster. What a mess of managing the bullpen!!!
  8. jun
It's really sad to be a Twins' fan in the playoff.
  9. jun
    Could be worse. Buckle up.
  10. jun
Alcala and Hill should be in, Astudillo and Dobnak should be out.
  11. jun
    Oh Boy here comes Rogers.
  12. jun
Thielbar is going to take the loss although he did not allow any base runner while getting 4 outs. That extra inning rule is a joke.
  13. jun
Rocco does not know how to effectively manage the bullpen.
  14. jun
That umpire is ready for dinner.
  15. jun
I guess May really wanted to get his ERA under 4.
  16. jun
Sano stats: 90 strikeouts 185 AB
  17. jun
Our old friend Nik Turley is the victim. 3 runs allowed. 8-6 Indians.
  18. jun
Sano needs to take the bench.
  19. jun
Twins need to lose this game and they are ahead. Athletics need to win their game with their 4th starter against whoever out there for Mariners. Resting key players is also a possibility for them. Oops Reds just tied it. Let's lose this one and hope Athletics win their game.
  20. jun
I think they are going to walk Rosario and then bring up a lefty to face Cave. Oops, I am totally wrong.
  21. jun
Indians are behind by 4 runs now. Twins are going to play Indians at home.
  22. jun
Diggs is having a good season with the unbeaten Bills. Vikings are stuck with Cousins. At least Twins are going to win the division.
  23. jun
Well that's a Sano swing. Swing at anything without thinking.
  24. jun
He almost walked in another run, luckily the hitter chased the pitch way outside. He probably did not care about that runner on 3rd base.
  25. jun
Rogers is doing his best to get those runs in for the Reds.
