This is an odd question to ask in this thread, because I can’t figure out how it would work, but would the Twins be better off giving Victor Robles a shot over Margot? He was just DFAed by the Nats, and has a higher salary than Margot. -

If he had been relieved when he gave up the single to Grossman, he would have had negative WPA, because the White Sox were about 20% chance to win there. By putting two runners on base, he made getting that last out way more valuable.

Yes. He moved the outcome from 83% likely win for the Twins to 100%. In between that he moved it higher by recording outs, and lower by allowing baserunners, but at the end of the game, he got to the same place.

Getting an out with the bases empty is not as valuable as getting an out with a runner on base.
