  1. I'm calling the upset. Hopefully Playoff Harden and Playoff Paul show up this series.
  2. For that Yankees start, at least we know Hughes will attack the strike zone. I think Mejia would be at about 100 pitches through 3 innings with that disciplined lineup.
  3. It would be so much nicer if they weren't the 8 seed, but you never know.
  4. It must be the weather- 2 HRs and 6 RBI for Kirilloff today. Hopefully the beginning of a strong season at the plate.
  5. I feel like Wiggins has played with more effort defensively this year, but his offense has fallen off a cliff. I'd like a do-over on the Butler trade. Maybe the Bulls would go for a Wiggins / LaVine swap this offseason
  6. Remember when a sharp ground ball up the middle was a hit? I miss those days.
  7. He's not just a pull hitter either. We've seen him hit for plenty of power to left center too. I'm expecting big things from Rosario.
  8. Any foxsportsgo.com watchers? The last two games, starting in the 6th inning, it works about 5 seconds at a time and then freezes up. The only way it works is in the split screen, and only on the right side screen, the left screen doesn't work... All other events stream fine, just the Twins games starting in the 6th inning. How does that make sense?
  9. Why is Adrianza batting 6th and Buxton 8th? That's a head scratcher.
  10. I never understood how Turner was selected in the Rule 5, and then even more surprised they kept him the whole year to do nothing. With his hitting numbers, he would have to be the best defensive catcher in baseball history to have a justifiable roster spot if it were up to me.
  11. People are upset about Rosario sliding into 1st? Way to nitpick.
  12. What are you talking about with Rosario? He had a good game, or I must be forgetting something.
  13. Buxton's line for the game looked ok, but I think he had about 6 swings-and-misses in 7 swings. We don't need to see games like that from him and Sano.
  14. Seth, I'm not sure if your prediction of Max Kepler leading the team in HRs and Odorizzi being the best starter meant two breakout seasons led to great results, or something went horribly horribly wrong.
  15. Well they were 3rd when Jimmy went down, and this is a very thin team. The same thing happened with the Gophers. They had no depth and losing a couple of good players took them from top 25 to the worst team in a mediocre conference.
  16. A team fighting for their playoff lives got outscored by Wayne Selden. Sad.
  17. Besides the actual Butler injury, this is this season's rock bottom. Unbelievable.
  18. Jose is one of many breakout candidates at CR this year. They are loaded.
  19. I'd agree with that. I wonder who gets the first shot though, it might be Aaron Slegers.
  20. Alex Kirilloff Position: Corner OF B/T: L/L Height: 6'1" Weight: 215 Born: November 9, 1997, age 20 Drafted by the Twins 15th overall in the 2016 MLB draft Alex Kirilloff will probably spend most of 2018 in a loaded Cedar Rapids lineup. Having missed the 2017 season with Tommy John surgery, 2018 will be an interesting season to watch Kirilloff's progression. 2016 Elizabeth stats: .306/.341/.454 (.794) with 7 HRs and 33 RBI in 232 PA
  21. Stephen Gonsalves Position: SP B/T: L Height: 6'5" Weight: 213 Born: July 8, 1994, age 23 Drafted by the Twins in the 4th round of the 2013 MLB draft. Stephen Gonsalves will be starting the 2018 season in the Rochester rotation. His minor league numbers of a 41-17 record, 2.39 ERA, 9.7 K/9, 3.3 BB/9, and 6.5 H/9 speak for themselves.
  22. Does anyone else have an uneasy feeling about starting in Baltimore again?
  23. Thank goodness that tough stretch of games is over. The time to go on a run would be now.
  24. I'm hoping for a 50-50 split at SS between Escobar and Adrianza. Maybe this will help neither become exposed in the field and at the plate.
