  1. Belly is so fun to watch. I have to give credit to Wiggins for his 4th quarter though. He was great on both ends.
  2. I felt like this article was too negative on Polanco, especially at the plate. I think he's got .300 hitting potential.
  3. Side note: the Gorgui contract is getting painful, especially when he's missing his midrange shot and getting housed by f'ing Zaza on the other end.
  4. Huge win against the Warriors yesterday. KAT basically said it was a must win game and they were desperate for the W. He was great throughout.
  5. I'm very happy with the move, especially just for one year. I like Lynn, but if it doesn't work out, I'm glad we don't have to worry about a Jordan Zimmerman type situation longer term with the jump to the AL.
  6. Teague is dirty, always has been. And WTF is with Jimmy Butler tweeting support of that? I miss the good old days...
  7. I think some people view May's FIP as the only stat that matters, even though his actual results haven't matched that. I still like the potential in May, and I hope he can be an option deeper into the season.
  8. Over the last 2 years, Gibson has an ERA over 5. Odorizzi's is under 4. At some point, actual results matter.
  9. A career 3.83 ERA in 705 innings for a pitcher who is still 27 and plays in the toughest pitching division in the majors. One bad year of FIP, and he's a bum? Great mid-rotation pickup, and I'm a big fan of Palacios.
  10. Yeah that's fair. Wiggins did average 23 a game as a 21 year old though, so let's give him some credit. The regression this year is definitely not a good sign though. Also, Wiggins is just weird how he has such a skill for scoring around the basket, but he has the worst hands and instincts when it comes to rebounding that I've ever seen. Just a weird great athlete overall, if that makes any sense.
  11. Great young players in the NBA put up stats, but young teams don't win games.
  12. The NBA is the opposite of a young man's game.
  13. No team has a playing style that will compete with Houston or Golden State this season, so that shouldn't be who everyone else is compared to.
  14. I always laugh at the TNT guys complaining about how slow the Wolves play and how that won't work in the playoffs. You would think someone tell them they're the #3 offensive rating team in the NBA and #6 in pure scoring. I haven't heard them say one positive thing about the Wolves every time they've been featured for a game, and I don't know why.
  15. Rose is a bad basketball player at this point, and I don't want him as a person on this team either. It makes no sense to bring him in.
  16. At least he has the excuse of being hurt. If he's going to play like this though, then sitting out for a while would be a good idea.
  17. Jeff Teague about single-handedly lost tonight's game. Between the two point guards, 1-16 with 2 points.
  18. For Chris: what did he see from Nick Gordon in the second half, and also if he has any thoughts on his struggles against lefties? Thanks.
  19. I think us Twins fans may devalue the closer role because every pitcher the Twins have thrown into that role have done very well. Perkins, Jepsen for that year, Kintzler, and Belisle. Just throw someone in the 9th and they'll put up a solid line.
  20. Tyler Wells has become one of my favorite prospects after that interview. He seems to have a great mindset, and the comment on Royce Lewis is great to hear too.
  21. I agree with the above comments, especially about Gabriel Moya. He should not even be under consideration for being dropped off.
  22. The Wolves are on fire and Jimmy Butler is playing like an MVP (non-LeBron James division). This type of play over the past month is what I was hoping for, and I'm looking forward to where they can go from here.
  23. 7 years for Erik Hosmer? Now I kinda hope KC brings him back.
  24. Maybe the Timberwolves will just never make 3's, just like the Twins never strike anyone out.
