    Escobar should be playing every day now. Most of the time at SS, and then when giving Sano a break (or during his suspension) at 3rd. We've seen what he can do offensively when given consistent playing time.

    I'm willing to forgive a guy for "making a mistake," but I'm getting tired of these metaphorical kicks to the groin right before the season starts. C'mon man!

    3.1 innings today: 9 runs, 5 earned on 8 hits. I think we've seen enough. They can do better, even for a mop-up guy.

    Belly is so fun to watch. I have to give credit to Wiggins for his 4th quarter though. He was great on both ends.

    I felt like this article was too negative on Polanco, especially at the plate. I think he's got .300 hitting potential.

    Side note: the Gorgui contract is getting painful, especially when he's missing his midrange shot and getting housed by f'ing Zaza on the other end.

    Huge win against the Warriors yesterday. KAT basically said it was a must win game and they were desperate for the W. He was great throughout.

    I'm very happy with the move, especially just for one year. I like Lynn, but if it doesn't work out, I'm glad we don't have to worry about a Jordan Zimmerman type situation longer term with the jump to the AL.

    I will take Stephen Gonsalves. Hopefully I will just be writing about a month or so of dominance before an early call to The Show.

    I'm guessing he gets cut at the end of spring, and if not, the only way he makes this team is as the long reliever. I think the new regime understands sunk costs.

    I'm assuming he looked pretty bad today. 4 earned in 2.1 innings, and 2 HRs.

    Teague is dirty, always has been. And WTF is with Jimmy Butler tweeting support of that? I miss the good old days...

    I think so. Look at their last 10 games. That includes Memphis twice, Atlanta, Dallas, and New York, basically 5 games against the worst 4 teams in the NBA. I can also see Wiggins going on a scoring tear here in this situation.

    I think they still would make the playoffs if Butler doesn't play another game. The Clippers and Jazz are the two contenders for the 8 spot. Let's say the Wolves go 10-10 to finish the season. The Clippers would have to go 15-9, or the Jazz would have to go 16-7 to equal the Wolves. I don't see that happening.

    Not an ACL injury, thank goodness. This being a meniscus injury, I would think there's a chance he comes back this year, but there aren't many details yet.

    Lynn for 3 years and $45M would be a very good move to me. I feel like he's being underrated. This would be an ok deal even if he was only as good as he was last year, and if he pitches like he did before the injury, it would be a great deal.

    I think some people view May's FIP as the only stat that matters, even though his actual results haven't matched that. I still like the potential in May, and I hope he can be an option deeper into the season.

    Over the last 2 years, Gibson has an ERA over 5. Odorizzi's is under 4. At some point, actual results matter.

    A career 3.83 ERA in 705 innings for a pitcher who is still 27 and plays in the toughest pitching division in the majors. One bad year of FIP, and he's a bum? Great mid-rotation pickup, and I'm a big fan of Palacios.

    Yeah that's fair. Wiggins did average 23 a game as a 21 year old though, so let's give him some credit. The regression this year is definitely not a good sign though. Also, Wiggins is just weird how he has such a skill for scoring around the basket, but he has the worst hands and instincts when it comes to rebounding that I've ever seen. Just a weird great athlete overall, if that makes any sense.

    Great young players in the NBA put up stats, but young teams don't win games.

    The NBA is the opposite of a young man's game.

    No team has a playing style that will compete with Houston or Golden State this season, so that shouldn't be who everyone else is compared to.

    I always laugh at the TNT guys complaining about how slow the Wolves play and how that won't work in the playoffs. You would think someone tell them they're the #3 offensive rating team in the NBA and #6 in pure scoring. I haven't heard them say one positive thing about the Wolves every time they've been featured for a game, and I don't know why.
