    He made Baseball America's and MLB Pipeline's top 100 list after the 2015 season, in the 90's. His first call-up was due to him basically being the only available infielder on the 40 man to come up for a few days. I think it is his professional approach at the plate is what made the Twins comfortable to do that with him, and that's what I've really liked about Polanco

    Rodney Smith is out for the year. That is obviously terrible news, so they'll have to rely on the young guys. At least they have some intriguing options.

    That has to be in the running for worst lineup any MLB team will put out this year.

    Same here. I wonder how it feels to have your team's top prospects actually turn into star players.

    I predict they'll get at least 3 Big Ten wins to get bowl eligible.

    I think it's fairly important to remember that New Mexico State had already played a game the week before. Couple that with the huge number of freshmen, and I think it was a solid game for the Gophers. Also the Gophers play Illinois, so they won't need much luck to win a B10 game.

    The freshman receiving group is really promising, plus Tyler Johnson. Rashod Bateman is going to be a big time player.

    The Yankees have a rookie 3B hitting over .300 with an .862 OPS. They might be looking for some starters, but they're set offensively, even if they miss on the big free agents I think.

    Tyler Austin with the "drive in more than you let in" philosophy today. He's had a rough time at first base so far since he's been here. I'm not very worried about 1B defense going forward, especially if you're going to hit 35-40 HRs, but it's just surprising seeing plays missed over there when I'm used to watching Mauer's great fielding.

    Yeah his stock seems to have fallen both nationally and among Twins fans this year. First it was the walk issues and now it seems the reports are that he pitches in the 88-90 mph range, where I previously remember the report on him being more 90-94. I'm very interested to see him pitch.

    Stewart has a 3.36 career ERA in the minors.

    I'm looking forward to seeing how Gonsalves gets MLB hitters out. The high walks and high pitch counts to MiLB hitters aren't the most encouraging stats, but he has been phenomenal in every other area.

    They noted that he threw a live BP and that he was rusty during the game last night. I always find it funny when they have to report on these things for guys like Belisle. They make it seem like the Twins and the fans are anxiously waiting for the return of a 40 year old reliever with a 6 ERA.

    Stephen Gonsalves is being called up and will start Monday for the Twins Between AA and AAA, his numbers are: 12-3, 2.76 ERA in 120.2 innings, 5.7 H/9, 0.6 HR/9, 4.8 BB/9, and 9.0 K/9. It will be interesting to see how his pitching style translates. Hopefully he doesn't nibble around the edge of the zone and rely on guys to chase.

    Bobby Wilson and Logan Forsythe carried the team to a win... Yay?

    The defense did not help Stewart out at all today. Adrianza's play was a huge mistake, and earlier that inning, Austin should have fielded that ball. Forsyth's high throw earlier in the game was a pretty easy play that should've been made too. Overall, Stewart was pretty similar to Fernando Romero, with their heavy sinkers, but the breaking pitches weren't really there.

    Jose Ramirez has been a way better hitter in the majors too. I wonder what Cleveland knows about development that the Twins don't.

    The Matt Magill signing worked out ok, so maybe the Drake claim will work. He at least strikes guys out.

    I hope that is the case. I'd rather see Gregorio Petit than Forsythe.

    Lamonte Wade should get a shot sometime soon too.

    If the Brewers want both Escobar and Dozier, Peralta is really the only interesting guy they have, unless they're giving up one of their top guys. The rest of the top 15 is so uninteresting to me.

    Another left handed hitting corner outfielder, that's surprising. His MLB stats are fairly intriguing though.

    Great point on the fit. He's a fly ball pitcher, and his pitches get fouled off a ton. Perfect for Oakland.

    Wow I did not realize Springer was having such an off year. That's even worse than Brantley getting in.
