  1. B-B-But we're only 1.5 GB from the last wild card spot!
  2. Nice to see from Larnach, but only 2 HRs so far. Power was supposed to be a strength of his as a prospect, it hasn't manifested a whole lot in the majors.
  3. Yeah, that's accurate and crazy. He had 5 wins in his first 11 games pitched, and now 3 wins in his last 5 games pitched. Seems like he pitches in close games and then their offense always takes the lead right after he comes off the mound.
  4. He was bad last year, can't blame teams for not wanting to roster a 40 year old DH who didn't hit last year.
  5. Geez, only took Ashby 5 pitches to get out of 1st + 3rd no outs!
  6. Kreidler and Outman getting the first hits on Crow was not expected... (Jeffers hit was changed to an error).
  7. I didn't know Culpepper moved to the pen... but no objections here, they need more options in the pen in the near future.
  8. You could cross-train Brooks Lee to play some 1B, he is hitting well enough to justify starting him there and his poor range and arm wouldn't be an issue.
  9. I've been a proponent of keeping Matthews in the rotation as he's shown glimmers of ability to get deep into games, glad to see him backing up my claims. After seeing this Miami squad get shutout 16 total innings between Ober and Matthews, SWR couldn't even had an okay outing against them... not a good sign. Thankfully Simeon's replacement has arrived and looks good to go.
  10. I was just checking his bbref page and I was surprised to see he was quite good in 2022-23.
  11. That'll do, Bell. That'll do. Glad the Marlins didn't pull this bum in time to potentially avoid this.
  12. The dude just threw Martin a cookie right down the heart of the plate, they need to pull him ASAP. Can't manage a team based on the incompetence of your opponent.
  13. Methinks the Marlins need a new pitcher out there... can't load the bases with no outs in both his first two innings.
  14. He has to get in line behind Lewis, not to mention they've been very slow to demote anyone.
  15. Well, I trust the top 3 hitters in this batting order, and they've promptly loaded the bases... the rest? Yikes.
  16. Adams did get to pitch 33 innings last year and was mostly terrible, and has looked like more of the same in a small sample size this year. But yeah, I wish they'd try to make the likes of Adams and Klein to be one inning relievers rather than waste time with the likes of Garcia.
  17. Feels like a repeat of 2024 where he couldn't hit anything, got demoted, came back in July and raked, just to stink it up in 2025 and be even worse to start 2026. This is his 5th year in the majors, at some point he is who he is. Maybe he gets hot when he returns, but if that just earns him more rope to be bad in 2027 it's pointless.
  18. Turns out the bullpen was a lot more effective than SWR. Perhaps SWR should have been pulled earlier...
  19. Reminds me of when they were carrying Matt Belisle in the back of the pen, late 30s with an ERA over 7. He was 38 then pitching in games in August-September on a 78-84 team.
  20. How much more negative value will they let Wallner continue to accumulate? He's one of the worst players in baseball offensively and defensively.
  21. Another start where Shelton needed to pull SWR sooner. He's got the whole bullpen healthy, he didn't have to let SWR go this far. I love that he lets the effective starters go long, but you can't use that same principle to bad starters.
  22. Buxton is gonna single-handedly keep us in this game... too bad he keeps on leading off innings.
