  1. Drafting a FB in the 5th round is certainly a choice, and he's not even the best FB in this class. Not wise use of draft capital there when you can find them in the UDFA signings. I like the CB pick, they needed to add some young talent to that room.
  2. Kwesi might have been fired more for putting the cap in bad shape rather than the JJM selection...
  3. Time for an update through Day 2 of the draft:
  4. They outbid the Bills on T Ryan van Demark on a 1/$4.2M deal, so I imagine he's the one playing LT if/when Darrisaw misses games in 2026. My guess is Tiernan is going to start out as a weekly inactive.
  5. Not particularly fast, not a good tackler, only a one year starter (plus a second year at Middle Tennessee), though that one year was really good. Doesn't look like the profile of a future starter to me. Safeties I have rated above him include Kamari Ramsey, Genesis Smith, Zakee Wheatley, Michael Taaffe, Javon Kilgore, and VJ Payne.
  6. Tiernan is a good value in the late 3rd, seems to imply they are planning on letting RT O'Neill leave in FA next year. They just gave Ryan van Demark 1/$4.2M deal to be the swing tackle, so I thought tackle wouldn't be an option yet. Interesting. I don't like the Thomas pick, there were at least 5 better safeties on the board. I need to do more homework on him, but they missed out on some good DBs in this class.
  7. They spent a 2024 4th on Isaac Guerendo, who had something like 5.5 YPC in 2024 and then inexplicably didn't use him in 2025 (traded for Brian Robinson!). It's comical how much RB talent they squander (look up Trey Sermon, Ty Davis-Price, Joe Williams, etc).
  8. He's #327 on my board, legitimately a kick return-only player. Not even a good college WR. And then the 49ers blow yet another mid-round pick on a bad RB prospect in a bad RB class, maybe RB10-12 in this class. Every year they spend a significant pick on RB in round 3-5 and never use the guy. It's so bizarre.
  9. And there you go, the Vikings go for a NT and have 3 starters in Redmond, Banks, and Orange. I had Big Citrus in Round 3 so I'm fine with that... but they've passed on some guys I really would have liked to take.
  10. So we moved Greenard for what is essentially a high 4th round pick and a next year 3rd. Not good value there... I was hoping for a 2nd rounder this year.
  11. He's a good 5 inches taller and 20 pounds heavier (6'4 240 lbs). I had him at the end of Round 2, another top tier athlete who needs development time. Probably backs up in 2026 and takes over for Cashman in 2027. I think it's a fine pick, but CB/S had better values and players who can contribute now.
  12. We still could use a nose tackle so Hunter might have made sense to us (Banks is going to lose some weight and won't be a NT). Essentially Banks is taking Jonathan Allen's role and Hargrave's role is still wide open. Looks like they flipped 196 for 159, so essentially upgrading a 6th to a 5th rounder. That's fine for moving down 2 spots in the 2nd round.
  13. The values on the board are at S and CB, I would take one of them or trade down. I didn't expect EMW to still be on the board... though supposedly he's not a great fit for Flores.
  14. LB (one year left on Cashman's deal), CB (one year left for Rodgers), OC (Brandel and Jurgens, yikes!), and the rumors say they are looking at RBs.
  15. Anthony Hill is a LB in this class, I have a 3rd round grade on him.
  16. Yup, that was Matt Miller who is notorious for bad scoops. On the opposite side, The Athletic Vikings beatwriter Alec Lewis has been by far the best Vikings source, right before the Vikings were on the clock he said they were going Sadiq or Banks, and that was after last year on draft day he said the Vikings were going home with one of the guards. Oh, and Lewis said a few days ago that he felt that they weren't interested in Thieneman. That might be a hint that we could try to land Eli Stowers on Day 2, who is similar to Sadiq as a freaky athelete / small TE / big slot receiver. Evidently they were ready to take Sadiq and move on from Hockenson next year.
  17. Sounds like he's going to be out for longer than a month in totality... bad break for him, but it didn't seem like the Twins were going to call him up anytime soon. Rodriguez remains at the top of the totem pole when it comes to most likely to get called up to play OF.
  18. Man, Raya is just not getting it done. And Klein has been rough too, I doubt he is going to be a MLB starter... so it might be time to move him to a relief role. I'd keep Zebby stretched out just because we need rotation depth. Morris is also likely a reliever, and we're at the point where the MLB pen is in dire enough shape that maybe he works into that. It would have been fun to see those Wind Surge and Kernels games!
  19. Well, I was right about the Vikings going DL over Thieneman, but I didn't think Banks was an option. The foot injuries are scary and very repeatable... at least he has very high upside, but that's a lot of risk. Not to mention he probably wasn't going Round 1 so why reach when they could trade down?
  20. For those interested, I'm doing live pick predictions as they happen here. You can see my draft board and my final mock draft is also there. Yeah... I might attend Day 3 of a draft if it visits Minneapolis, but no way am I standing in a crowd for 7 hours like that.
  21. Same thing with Buxton, he only has had 7 RBIs even with 5 HRs. They need to have Martin/Larnach/any other OBP options hit ahead of him just to have somebody on base for when his XBHs come.
  22. Rogers and Topa are very lucky the Mets only have a 1 run lead...
  23. Yup, I was about to make a "didn't you used to be Devin Williams?" joke.
