  1. I think the "Crossroad" came in October 2023 when Little Joey announced they were cutting payroll eight months or so after signing Correa and then winning a playoff series. We are well past the so-called crossroads.
  2. I assume Pablo gets activated to fill one spot. I don't ever want to see Noah Davis pitch again. Ever. But I'd say the same of Kriske and Cabrera. Raya hasn't been all that good in St.Paul. How about Connor Prielipp and Gabby Gonzalez? Or Kyler Fedko?
  3. Half seems very optimistic given this regime's inability to develop position players. I'm always hopeful....just beaten down :)
  4. All of this leads to a larger question: can the Twins actually develop their top young players once they reach the majors? I believe the evidence almost universally says NO
  5. Man, Nick. I sure with the Pohlads would read your stuff. They might have a clue how their fans feel. Like you, I have absolutely no faith in the current regime to develop hitters. The track record speaks for itself.
  6. Everything the Pohlads, and to a degree Falvey, say is an affront to fans' intelligence. They are completely TONE DEAF to their fan base.
  7. I would put nothing beyond the Pohlads. But we all know the market and the ballpark are NOT the problem.
  8. There was one baseball fan in the Pohlad family and her name was Eloise. 40 years of Pohlad ownership tells us exactly what to expect going forward. I sincerely hope I'm wrong. I've been a Twins fan for 50 years and, even at a young age, celebrated when Calvin Griffith sold the team. Was hoping to be able to do so again. No such luck.
  9. No idea if either of these kids have a future in the bullpen. But I know this....IF they do have a future it's definitely in 'pen
  10. I think I did it. I found something positive about the whole thing. At least we know the Twins won't be moving.
  11. I do enjoy these type of articles and the thought processes involved. IMHO...theres a better chance that Wallner sticks as on OF over Larnach...I would be shocked if Ober isn't in the rotation. What they do with Festa will be interesting.
  12. We are thinking alike. Wallner is what he is....tons of power, low average, no speed, canon arm. Jeffers....he is one. I think they tried to turn him into more of a three-true-outcomes power hitter and that just isn't him. For a catcher, I'll take this offensive profile.
  13. I can't get enough of Keaschall. The energy he plays with is infectious. Now, do we really have to see "Mickey Gasper" catch?! An incredibly loud and damning statement on Falvey that that's even possible.
  14. Help me out all. Name a hitter that has developed into a good, consistent mlb hitter during the Falvey regime. Brooks Lee joins the list of hitters who just aren't that good. Falvey is supposed to be some kind of pitching guru, but that's been pretty meh as well.
  15. Can someone explain to me why we are seeing something called "Urena" start games instead of Taj Bradley?
  16. Noah Davis?? Really?? I know we're only pretending to want to win, but c'mon Falvey. People pay good money to watch a major league game....at the very least give them major leaguers.
  17. Another Falvey Favorite. Anything that means we won't EVER have to watch "Noah Davis" pitch in a Twins uniform.
  18. Always appreciate the work Nick. I've been a diehard Twins fan nearly 50 years. I am NOT a fire the GM, or fire the manager guy. However, I cannot wait until this team gets sold and Falvey and Rocco are shown the door. Ownership and the front office continue to be completely tone deaf to their fans and, I believe, the players. The players are no more than commodities...the trade of Varland proves that the most. I honestly had no problem with the trade of 7 of the players. The Correa deal I think was a last-minute salary dump. On the three stud relievers, I don't feel like there was adequate planning on Falvey's part....just look at what they got back. Terrible. His statement of "needing to be blown away" was complete BS and "front office talk". I think Thad Levine had the right idea.....
  19. Once again, Nick is reading my mind. So, the guy who "really liked" his roster entering 2025 sees his team once again underachieve (and do we remember the 2024 collapse?) and yet re-ups his computer printout reading manager?? At least one of the two is not good at his job....
  20. Ok. WTF. I get Castro, Bader, Stewart, even Correa. I sort of get one of Duran or Jax...even though I don't like it. But what the (bleep) is going on? Pohlads cannot sell this team fast enough.
  21. 100% agree Nick. I'd like to see them sell off the expiring contracts. The list of pitchers they have under contract for next season is a very good group. My frustration is this. No matter what happens with the pitching staff, any success is going to depend on the development of hitters. And I'm not sure I can name one, save for Buxton, who has developed in this organization, under this regime, and become just a really good, consistent hitter.
  22. These three simply typify the organization's inability to develop positional players/hitters. Wallner, Lewis, Lee.......the list goes on and on
  23. Of the two, I'd probably trade Duran. His numbers are better but if one pays close attention, it's Jax that usually gets the heart of a team's order late in games so his numbers aren't going to look as good. As a "closer" his value may be higher as well. I want the best, most major league ready catching prospect in baseball plus more for him though.
  24. Sometimes I feel like Rocco knows he should deviate from his computer printout at least some of the time....use his "gut". I just don't think his "gut" is very good. Decisions like this seem random with no real rhyme or reason. I was more frustrated that you manage to lose 2 of 3 to the freaking Rockies and Jax pitches one inning.....with a 5-run lead, Duran pitches one inning....with a 6-run lead, and Varland doesn't pitch at all?!
