    I'd be shocked if Outman makes the opening day 26-man. They gave up Brock Stewart for him, so the investment was extremely minimal. Martin can play CF in a pinch. If Buxton gets hurt, I'd sooner see ERod in center than Outman. FO needs Rhoden to open the season on the roster after giving up Varland for him and Rojas.

    Thanks Nick. Always appreciate the work. Some are questioning the bullpen arms listed. With what they (don't) have right now in the bullpen I don't know where people think the 'pen arms are going to come from? It HAS to be guys like Prielipp, etc.. If they were to sign/trade for more established mlb bullpen arms, then maybe they don't need as many of the "starter-turned-reliever" types. I've seen speculation about guys like Zebby, Festa, etc. being moved to the bullpen. I'd prefer to give them the start of the season as starters as sort of a "last chance". By mid-season if they haven't stepped up, then I'd be more enthusiastic about moving them to the 'pen.

    They certainly could carry all three through most of Spring Training. Then decide what the move is. Clearly, Caratini will be on the 26-man and I like the move. Can Jeffers be moved for an entire bullpen?!?!

    This confirms it....the Pohlads and their mouthpiece Falvey are not on tone deaf toward Twins fans but also the players. It's 500K for crying out loud. Give him the money.

    Well, he was very good at playing the outfield. Buck is a gold glover. Larnach and Wallner are DHs masquerading as outfielders. Here's hoping he can help the young guys get better.

    Now the real test....develop a few into good major leaguers, a process SORELY lacking under Falvey and Baldelli. Maybe Shelton and his staff can do a better job.

    In order for this team to ever win, it needs to develop players. The current regime has shown almost zero ability to do so, so I'm not overly confident. That said, IMO the path for this year needs to be to play they're young(ish) guys. If guys like Wallner, Lewis, Lee, etc., don't figure it out there's no way they win this year or next. Time to find out if we need to move on or not. Assuming health (a big if), guys like Lewis, Lee, Keaschall, Wallner, Jeffers should be in the lineup nearly every day. In terms of Tom's comments about them being competitive this year it entirely depends on those guys taking a step forward. Any financial freedom they might have should be spent on the bullpen. Bottom line...a year from now we have to know if Lewis, Lee, Wallner, Larnach (if he's not traded), etc. have a future or not. This year can also be used to sort out the pitching depth - who stays as a starter, who goes to the bullpen.

    Good grief I hope so. I've said it a million times - the biggest problem isn't the tight payroll, it's the complete inability to develop a single position player. Name a hitter that has even lived up to expectations, let alone exceeded them. Jeffers maybe?

    People with the kind of wealth the Pohlads possess tend to be tone deaf to what 99.9% of the population thinks, feels, experiences. Little Joe seemed to take that "tone deafness" to an entirely new level.

    There may be a world where Lewis is the 3B, Culpepper the SS, Lee at 2B and Keaschall in LF.

    And that's the problem right?....both best suited for DH. Both really bad OFers. I think they love Wallner's strong arm, but his throwing metrics really aren't good....teams run on him and I think it might be b/c he lumbers to the ball. I like the kid. But he's not an OF.

    It escapes me why the organization didn't start Wallner's transition to 1B two years ago. Maybe it's not just that easy. But Kody Clemens.....

    Sad but true. I've reached a point where I don't buy into a single thing Falvey says. He talks to media like he thinks the fans are stupid. I suspect he's acting on the wishes of ownership, but the statement about not trading any of Buxton, Ryan, Pablo and then about "adding" wreaks of someone who thinks such statements will sell tickets. Bottom line is this....even with these "adds" he talks about we're still talking about a payroll roughly $30-35 million LESS than two years ago. That's not "adding".

    I wonder if he could trim it down to a slider/change mix if he's used in more traditional bullpen roles....one inning at a time.

    Love the idea Cody. This concept would assume a trade is to make the Twins better and not just be a cost-cutting move. Like a lot of others, I wonder what Ober's value would be after 2025. I think the return would be low enough that I might just bet on a rebound from him. IMO, if you can deal SWR and get a player that fits into and makes the lineup better - RH hitting 1B, RH hitting corner OF that can back up Buxton, good BP arm, I would pull the trigger on that. He's out of options, so it's ML rotation or bust. And, I could be wrong, but I just don't think he has much more upside than what he's show.
