    To me the twins have to figure out SS ASAP, then they can make a decision on Urshela. If Correa leaves and the Twins decide Jose Palacios is the SS, I want nothing to do with Miranda/Palacios left side of the infield (what is Plan B to that?), with all the other unknowns (AK, Jeffers, Laranch, Lewis, ect....) If Correa Stays or they bring in another SS then I say give Miranda 3rd. At least Plan b can be Lewis.

    Is pointing out facts really negativity or more of a realist? He is really old for a top prospect, not hitting well at AAA, and not fast and not a great defensive outfielder. Plus very few players that turn out to be anything get to the majors at age 25 or older so most might temper their expectations based on these facts.

    The problem with is that Gallo at Wallners age already had over 100 MLB homers and and WAR of 10 and besides his age 27 season has been terrible since. Gallo was playing in the majors at age 21 and if Wallner doesn't come up this year he will be 25 at the start of next season, so I don't see how the two compare at all.

    That lineup looks terrible and the pitching staff doesn't do anything for me either, and did you leave Ober off for a reason?

    The problem with this statement is the Guardians seem to have starting pitching that doesn't care much who their opponents are and go out and pitch deep into games. Where am I at now? telling somebody to turn off the lights on the way out, this party looks to be over, but I am just going around the corner for some food, in case the party starts back up, but not really expecting it to.

    True he has pitched 3 innings in the FCL hasn't given up a run, so there is hope.

    Are you trying to be funny here? Stashak(28) has 72 MLB innings and has 9 holds in 4 years, Moran is in the minors, Alcala (27) looks like there is potential but has pitched 87.2 innings has 1 save, 11 holds and 5 blown saves. (and some innings from Winder) The Twins success has come been 126 innings from Ober, 53 innings from Duran and that is pretty much it, all the rest have basically come from trades.

    I don't think the Twins can count on Maeda, Ober, Winder or Dobnak for anything more than mop up innings the last couple weeks of the season if that. I would expect at least two starts or multiple relief innings in the minors and if that would probably have to happen by next week, if they haven't started that by September I see no chance, unless Ober comes out throwing like 100 and the Twins rush him up. Fingers crossed Larnach can come up and do well, it might be important for his future with the Twins.

    Not that it is a huge difference but he turns 22 next month, which is still plenty of time to get a good major league pitcher, but as I have posted before the older a prospect debuts the less chance it becomes to be a star.

    Sorry I meant to type ALL Stars. Miranda was drafted in 2016 and AK in 15, both prior to this this FO, as was Pressly, Escobar, Dozier, Gaterol (all used to get others, Buxton, Sano, Rosario, Kepler, Polanco, Berrios, Arraez, Garver, Gordon ) but that really wasn't point, my point was All Stars. And Royce Lewis was the first pick in the draft 2017 which they also inherited from the previous regime. This FO has done an amazing job of trading for players, there is no doubt, Obo, Maeda, Duran, Alcala and others, but drafting and FA are real questions right now.

    Isn't this more a shot at the FO than anything, I mean there is no denying they were given some talent when they signed on and if the argument is they don't have enough, that has to fall squarely on their shoulders correct? The only stars they have brought in are Odo (2019), Cruz(21) and one could argue Maeda in 20. That is it all the rest were inherited from the previous FO.

    Can he better? Sure anything is possible the odds say no, but Berrios only has 10.6 WAR though age 28 so it isn't like he needs to do a ton in the next 6 years to get there. But he only has 251 minor innings in 4 seasons. Berrios pitched 103.2, 140, 166.1 he three full years in the minors, and fourth year he pitched 169.2innings (111.1 in AAA and 58.1 with the Twins) To me the big difference is going to be SWR will more likely than not be asked to do what Berrios has been asked to do and that is be a tradition starter, He basically has never been asked to pitch much more than 4 innings a game. I am hoping he becomes good/great but with any twins pitching prospect his ceiling seems to be Joe Ryan.

    I would like to point out Joe Ryan did the impossible. He walked the first two guys in the 6th inning (YES THE 6 inning) and got out of the inning without giving up a run. Based on what people have been writing on here, I didn't think it was possible that a starting pitcher could get out of a jam after the 5th innings.

    Lets not forget Jax will be 28 at the start of next season and lets be honest 3.74 ERA doesn't scream shut down back end relief pitcher pitcher, Winder 26 in less than 2 months, and Ober just turned 27 and have combined less than 80 MLB innings this year after pitching 72 and 108 last year, Duran was a top 5 starting pitcher prospect two years ago and now is bullpen pitcher (very good/great bullpen pitcher) We are talking about the Cole Sands that has given up 16 earned runs in 21 innings this year? Sure he has come up in pitched 5 innings but lets see how that continues to go. Ryan isn't from any prospect pipeline, he has pitched 9 more minor league innings with the Twins than Paddock, Gray and Mahle. Really good trade but should be considered no different than Gray or Mahle.

    And Theilbar had gone 12 games in a row without an earned run, that had to end at some point, sadly it wasn't in a 6 - 3 game or something.

    Alcala is out for the year, and from last friday - Maeda (elbow) threw a 30-pitch bullpen session Friday and will throw another bullpen Monday, So I think we can assume we won't see him for quite a while if at all this year.

    To be fair to the Twins they also have had younger guys come up Buxton, Arraez, Polanco, Kepler, Sano, Berrios. It just seems like Atlanta guys have shined brighter. Albies and Acuna were young international signings, Grissom was a 11 round pick and Harris a 3rd rounder in 2019 both high school picks and completely amazing they were not affected by the Covid year like all the Twins prospects. Back on topic, It seems like a no-brainier to sign these young guys early for how many years were Kepler and Polanco for example considered great trading chips compared to the guys that didn't sign these contracts. Sure you might miss on a guy or two but the upside is so much higher that it seems like a gamble worth taking.

    I would for sure don't see any reason not to. Not to get off topic but how the heck does Atlanta continue to turn out young stud prospects? (Age debuted) Harris (21), Grisson (21), Contreras (22), Austin Riley(22), Dansby Swanson(22), Acuna Jr (20), Ozzie Albies (20), Fried (23), Strider (22), Kyle Wright(22)

    You say that like it is True, I would argue that they are the more opposite then the same of the Twins. McClanahan started last year (24 year old Roolie) almost exactly like the twins treat all their pitcher for 8 games, but since has averaged facing 6 innings and over 23 batters faced. Kluber has average 5 1/3 and 23 batters faced. Rasmussen is similiar to the Twins pitchers but then they go with a starter for when their starter isn't great.

    I have lived without the Twins on TV for that last couple of years (HULU) and I will continue to do so, Won't pay anything more to watch them. If I want to catch part of a game I will head to my low brew pub have a beer or two with my wife and watch for an hour or so or head to planet fitness and walk on the threadmill for a hour. What baseball might learn is that looking at the box scores and talking about baseball is just as fun as watching some of the product on the field.

    I see the smart run teams trying to use one relief pitcher for 2 innings if the starter goes less than 6. That sets up the bullpen better for the following days. You can look at the box scores the last few weeks and see this happening (Even with the Twins)

    I agree with this statement it isn't Bundy's fault that everybody got hurt and forced him up the chain thus making him look worse than he is. I think most teams (maybe not the the top few) would say for $5 million I get a 5th starter that doesn't miss a start goes on average 5 innings with an ERA of 4.76 (knowing it is that high because a 1/3 of his starts are probably crap) would say sign me up.
