  1. I would put Julien as not leaving AAA, and Lee coming up late if at all. Now players have roller-coaster careers, even if he later years is is a kiddie roller-coaster, but the WHOLE team last year at the end just collapsed, almost as if there were a jinx. Now when I was young the talk was: I wonder how well player x will do, or I Hope player x, y or z has a real good year. There was not beer farting about : OH ----- is getting old; these veterans are blocking young crapshoots.... What will be, will be and there is nothing any one here can do about it , except maybe prepare their May Whine.
  2. The Vikings might want to consider giving a phone call to the kicker they let go.
  3. I am still very wary, and not because of the post season losses, including the 4 Super Bowls; it is the last regular season game of 1969 when they lost to the Atlanta Falcons 3-10. Atlanta had total of 111 yard in the game and still beat the Viking's record setting defense. That will be omen to me till the Vikings win a Super Bowl.
  4. There will be a lot of astericks - season went from 12-14-16-17 games.
  5. His last years in Independant ball, he was 37-2 stealing bases in 91 games and 16-2 in 73 games. Not many dudes in their mid-forties can do that.
  6. A VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ONE AND ALL. Heavenly Father, love brought Jesus to the earth, and love brings us to this Christmas table. Today as we share this holiday feast, may we also share with one another a joyful heart and a warm smile. May our Christmas dinner be filled with kindness. And may the memories of today warm our hearts for years to come. MERRY CHRISTMAS every one.
  7. But he was RAKING in the minors with a .970 OPS!
  8. That is not running out of gas; except for a few fortunate home runs, he has never equalled the hype given him here.
  9. This was a FAR bigger problem than Margot: Lewis Though Margot's last 30 games was strictly downhill also.
  10. Wallner adjusted to Major League pitching last year to his big advantage; hope the pitchers do not adjust to the Twins the way they did to Julien.
  11. Watch them lose the series to Chicago this year. 🤥
  12. NOT a great catch, Poor field awarness. He came close to possibly hurting another player who had an easier catch than Lurch charging. Wallner has had a LOT of close calls with other players in the field during his short time up so far.
  13. So what it is right there: Minus 5, Minus 5 he was lousy in center field. If you are saying Kepler should still be here, I AGREE.
  14. So what, Wallner is NOT a good Right Fielder., as of now he has had 138 chances in Right Field with 3 errors. I spoke of Right Field as that is what the GREAT majority here think he will play , plus, that is where Kepler played. At that , Wallner was FAR better in left field, and for histories sake, Kepler was not in Center Field as he was horrible there.
  15. Wallner is 27 his fielding in the minors last year, and the year befor was bad; he is not going to get better in the majors.
  16. Wallner is SLOW to get going and then turns a simple catch into a so called spectacular catch as he is slow to get to the ball. His throwing accuracy is shotgun level, some hit the target a lot do not. Keplers bat is not his strongest point but in little things he outdid Wallner Sacrifice Flies - in the past three years Kepler had 11, Wallner had 1; Total bases last year, Kepler 140, Wallner 115. Now Home runs, Wallner had 13 and Max only had 8 but as i said, Kepler will be missed greatly in the outfield and assuming Wallner is the full time Right Fielder, his weaknesses will show quickly.
  17. Better than here comes the ball-there goes the ball Wallner. In ten years Keplers fielding average in Right Field is .993 - Wallner in 3 years is .978, they will miss Kepler greatly. I do believe, Kepler wanted out of Minn.
  18. If Lurch Wallner is the right fielder, he will be missed a lot.
  19. Reno Aces' Kyle Garlick aims for a return to the big leagues for sixth straight season https://nevadasportsnet.com/news/reporters/reno-aces-kyle-garlick-aims-for-a-return-to-the-big-leagues-for-sixth-straight-season They have played him at first base; now a free agent.
  20. You prefer shooting craps on a wishful thinking gamble.
