  1. Range factor is considered a more accurate measure of a player's defensive ability than fielding percentage because it focuses on the total number of outs a player is involved in, rather than the percentage of chances they handle cleanly. Catchers Catchers who have many strikeout pitchers on their team will have a high range factor.
  2. If you have an option, you are still a rookie. in My opinion.
  3. An infield where 3rd, Short Stop, 2nd and 1st are constants, makes for a smooth running team as each player knows how the others will handle most situations. There will be little to no, "what the hell was that"; now a Cesar Tovar type utility would be a fifth to fix any loose ends. Twins have none of that as sadly, Castro is not near as good as Tovar.
  4. Math - fewer fans, less income, boring mediocre to losing team, less fans less money coming in.
  5. Vazquez Rtot and Rdrs, number are positive while Jeffers are negative, and Vazquez has much better Range Factor numbers.
  6. Hmm, Julien 94 games, Martin 93, Lee 50, Lewis 82, Kirilloff 57 are all rookies and most were a strong reason/s for the Sept. collapse. Defense - where they fell apart, Lee, who looks not bad at Third, had positive Rdrs, the rest had all negative Rtot and Rdrs numbers , with Julien and Martin being the worst. Vazquez all positive Rtot and Rdrs, Jeffers all negative while Margot and Farmer like Lee split the numbers data agrees with me totally. Data
  7. The point of te game, especially for the Twins now, is to win now, to bring in fans, not become a crap-shoot that comes up craps more often than not. IF the Twins were like Texas and won the World Series, fans would be happy and the FO could be a extended Minor League team as the fans would be happy and show up for the next season BECAUSE they won big in the Post Season. A team full of wannabes, or veterans that are here today and gone tomorrow, give the fans no one to be come attached to; Fans DO go to see their favorite player , play. Right now Buxton and Correa, (Santana , if he stays, and maybe Castro) will be the only ones most fans can relate to; if Kepler leaves and the field become musical chairs, that is NOT going to increase fan atendance.
  8. Twins went to the Post Season last year, with an infield and out fields of rookies this year they collapsed so your statement is simply false.
  9. The minors are for developing players , not the majors. Every Rooker, Celestino, Gordon, Palacios, Blankenhorn that they bring in that is allowed to keep struggling through the entire season is the reason Margot, Farmer, Gallo and Vazquez are an absolute neccessity.
  10. Urshela, Gallo and Solano are on the list. Twins need a catcher better than Camargo, McCann is available.😎
  11. Gallo was brought in for, and started the majority of his games at 1st base, which he did very well. Left Field which they both played there was little difference. Farmer was a life saver at 2nd base , saving us from herky-jerkey Julien, and did well after coming of off IL this year. Martin better than Margot, LOL, BS. Martin on top, although it did take till Sept . for Margot to remember how to field like he used to.
  12. Lee is the future at THIRD Base as his glove is good , so far, while Lewis is a just plain lousy fielder, any where , so far.
  13. I was looking up long term AAA players two days ago and found , at least the longest term ones listed, there are a fair numer who were/are best of best in AAA but when they hit the Bigs, either have one great year and that is it , or who just never can fully adjust to the Bigs. The Twins , Seem, to have had a few of those, to one degree or another, but right now their Minor League boys are just that boys who are, for the most part, a crap-shoot at what the Bigs will do to them or they will do in the Bigs.
  14. Back problems are at best a fifty-fifty chance of truly getting better. Misfortune ruined his career, and I can only imagine so called recovering from the back problem, trying to make a come-back and being handed a pink slip any way. The gent has large cajones for sure going through what he did.☹️
  15. One bad fortune he had was, when he was with the Twins, he joined the club of gents that year, bouncing off the Center Field wall onto the IL.
  16. I disagree with Lee's bat while his defense, at Third Base, makes Lewis' look like an A level rookie, now. - (Although Lee stunk at 2nd and Short Stop.) Whilst Lewis bat. Lewis Makes Lee look like the future at 3rd base, for now. Lee
  17. No we don't which is why we have/had Margots, Gallos, Santanas & Farmers. All brought in for fielding skills, only Margot was a bit of a dud.
  18. He is not really good at Third but is just plain BAD at First. His range is a good amount below league average. He played 252 games at 3rd in the minor and 47 games at 1st in the minors for a reason. You do not just jack people around the field unless you want to screw up their ability to be the best they can any where.
  19. Miranda was better at third than Lewis and had a better bat than Lewis; leave him at third, don't screw him up, or trade him while he has value.
  20. Trade Vazquez leaving Camargo and Jeffers; Bobby Witt Jr. will set base stealing records against the Twins.
