  1. That is a large crock of Bollocks; without Santana last year there would have a lot more players on first , or second, base to score against the Twins. Dissing the importance of 1st base is silly.
  2. Gallo had a great season before the Twins got him; Rooker could be another Gallo so Rooker brouhaha is wishful thinking at this point.
  3. They have enough young players to fight Chicago for 4th, and that is all.
  4. At best, both need to stay in AAA for a Long Time; more practical , cut them loose.
  5. One large sieve with the exception of Correa, while Miranda is still a better 3rd Baseman than Lewis.
  6. Kirilloff is a horrid First Baseman, time to let him fly away. Poor rookie defense was one reason the Twins faded into a abysmal team; they cannot afford years of pee-poor rookies, hoping for a at least one to be above average. With the team moves many post here, the Twins will be fighting to stay out of the basement for years.
  7. If Kirilloff is still around next year, It will Not be at 1st Base.
  8. They did Gordon and some others, which was not a mistake, so probably neither would be getting rid of some of these.
  9. Far, far less change than expected.
  10. This wasn't 2023, Cave had a good year in the past, Gordon had a good year in the past; the opposition pitching figured them out and they never got it back. 2023 is the past for many rookie Twins who pitchers have figured out. Unless the Twins want to become what Chicago was in 2024, for a long time, they cannot be more than a AAA team.
  11. We saw the latter, without Chicago becoming a mess, we never saw the former. EVERY good team humiliated the Twins.
  12. Niether Lee, nor heaven forbid, Julien should play Second Base; the only spot Lee has shown a knack for is Third Base, where he could replace Lewis if Lewis has now shown how good a bat he really is.
  13. Twins get the least air time on local news sports. Twins were not first on the sports news till there was nothing else to talk about.
  14. Castro is as close to a second Tovar as the Twins probably have ever had. If like Tovar, he geta better the next couple of years, losing him will give the Twins a huge hole .
  15. Lewis and Jeffers had BRIEF periods of success, and LONG periods of, why are they not still in AAA. Jeffers, Lee and Lewis fielding numbers in AA/AAA were poor, they still are. Kyle Garlic went from GOOD to OK to ARHH; Gordon went from Blech to WOW to BLECH. Both are now GONE, for their bats and their fielding showed it was probably Never going to get any better. Gordon is now in Miami AAA; Garlick was named Player of the Week once this year, but is still in AAA. Martin right now looks a lot like Gordon for talent. The gents I listed have not shown their future is not in AAA or some where else.
  16. I don't play with money I do not have nor a real idea who will or how it will be spent or not spent but dumping Lee, Lewis, Martin, Julien and Jeffers will probably result in a better team, as they were supposed to explode on the diamond like a Silver Salute but went off barely as Lady Fingers.
  17. I do not have cable TV at my other house, so I listen to them on the radio. I have and still do listen to a LOT of games on the radio; this year many times I just followed the game on MLB Gameday as I had no interest in watching on the television. I did on occasion change channels when a player/s that I like to watch were at bat but I am never paying money just to watch any sport.
  18. They may be quite worse; if Kepler, Santana & Farmer are gone, the infield will a sieve, and while Wallner has a strong arm he is no Kepler and belongs in Left field where the arm can make a difference. Do not know who the FO will bring in, or let go, but right now the future looks bleak.
  19. If Margot gets an F, the Lewis and Jeffers should get an F. Lewis did nothing after the early games and his defense is horrid; ditto for Jeffers.
  20. Get rid of Correa, good way to replace Chicago at the bottom of the pack.
  21. Baldelli reminds me of Gene Mauch, very good until it really counts, then PFFFT!
  22. I coul not believe those calls, had it been a Marlins batter this site would have exploded with negative brouhaha.
