  1. One annoying thing would be, if, the Twins beating Texas puts Houston in the Division lead.
  2. It would be nice if the Twins could two more runs to make the game grand slam proof.
  3. That was a tough play for Solano and no guarantee Polanco could have gotten the runner at first.
  4. Well I was out pulling weeds, no real grass to mow but I am tired of looking at Crab Grass, and it seems I missed a rather lively game. Old fashioned what oes around comes, comes around. Luplow instead of Taylor, that is different.
  5. When he has earned the spot, not one game before.
  6. On this site , no reason too, personal negativity of the player currently tied to the kicking post, rules most posts. Of there is the infatuation with rookies, who are adored as the future of the club and veterans should be dumped without any proof that will happen. Ah la Sano, Rooker, Hicks etc. , etc., etc.
  7. Being bored and not really wanting to go out and mow the boulevard I did some searching in Baseball Ref. I found that in 1961, the most individual Twins ever hit home runs. 17 without the pitcher and 20 including the pitchers. Apparently there was a LOT of platooning that year; the next year it was down to 13 and 16 with the pitchers. 1963 it was up to 15 and 17 with the pitchers, after that it changed pretty much to 13 plus or minus one on average plus one or two pitchers, although in 1970 fielders got 15 and pitchers added 3 more. 1961 is interesting because Art Schroll ended his 6 year career with the Twins while in 20 PA accomplished 3 singles, a double and a home run while only striking out 4 times and 2 walks, with a .278 BA, mean while; -- Bill Daily in his long 4 year career in 1963 besides striking out 72 batters, in his huge 24 PA managed 4 singles and one home run, with a .238 BA, and an MVP award,; -- then -- in 1970 , Al Haydel , first of his 2 year career, managed in 3 PA: 1 double and 1 home run for a .667 batting average, and, won both game he pitched in. Now with platooning the norm, and a DH, 17 different batters hitting home runs is not un usual, but things were different 40 plus years ago, especially with the higher pitchers mound.
  8. Ah la Sano, Rooker...?
  9. It has been rained out this year, but you should wear it to the Burning Man.
  10. They showed Jeffers trying to imitate Kepler's somersault run to first, he was feeling justified.
  11. Jeffers did what Kep should have.
  12. He is definitely NOT fleet of foot, best where he is.
  13. The lead off hit curse was broken.
  14. Yep, striking out because you know what the ump. will say, that is SO BRILLIANT.😂 I
  15. AH, Lewis must now deal with the game not being tied because of his lead feet , hmmm.
  16. Foul it off, he is not walking back to the dug out . He never touched the first two strikes either.
  17. You mean Wallner watching the third strike?
  18. I am puffing just watching the Rangers manager walk to the mound; that boy must really burn the calories the way he walks.
