  1. Next year may determine if this was a flash in the pan or not. People like to put the 2019 success on the baseball used that year, in reality most of that team was gone by 2021. Change in team , change in results. IF, if 90 percent of this team, especially pitching, returns next year, season results will show if this is a long term top team or just another flash in the pan.
  2. Up here the Twins will have reached Big Boy status if the team gets front page news coverage from TV talking heads; right now the Twins are third page news. The TV talking heads, local news, spoke about them after babbling about the Vikings, Gophers and Wild all summer.
  3. That is what the Twins did in the Post Season; Jeffers had 2 hits 19 AB with 2 BB and 8 SO. Way below what he had been doing in Sept. but Baldelli rolled the dice and came up craps.
  4. I did not rate any one at any level.

  6. Interesting season; it reminds me of the 1969-1970 teams which were the last of a truly great decade but died in the new post season format. From 1971-1979 had 4 winning seasons but then they seemed to go pffft in last months. Will next year be a stronger more cohesive team or a revolving door for players not as good as expected. Next spring will be very, very interesting to see who stays , who goes and what gents walk on the field the first day of the season.
  7. Despite extreme drought up here extremely good garden this year. Cucumber, which I have never had good fortune with just keep producing so many I cannot even give them away any more. Carrots , despite being an after thought, produced beyond expectation , except where they washed down among corn stalks. Still picking chiles and tomatoes but as again, too many and the freezer is full. Potatoes not near what I ususally get but then I always got more than we could eat, so not such a bad thing. Because Dad always planted marigolds and zinnias I decided to do so this year, beautiful array of both 2ft to 4 ft high along the garden fence. Good year now I will finally start to pull more stuff up and bury some of the debris.
  8. His batting skills were dropping as the season wore on.
  9. Julien's wasted double really hurts right now.
  10. Julien finally showed his skill tonight.
  11. Kepler was hitting .250 when this game started, with several doubles, so you are simply wrong.
  12. Without Taylor's fielding Twins would have lost a LOT more games.
  13. PItching change was made, all the wailing and moaning will change nothing.
  14. Jeffers was no surprise but Correa's and Castro's, oh my.
  15. Right now Twins hitting is more concern than who is pitching.
  16. I'm gonna turn on Wheel of Fortune and then go back to the Twins; they usually win when I do that.
  17. Julien's screw up hurt a bit more now, Go Lewis!
  18. Julien starts a new hitting streak. But need base running lessons.
  19. Captn. Wild Bill Kelso said they did!
