  1. IF they are good enough to play in the Majors the Spring Training should show that; so far such has not shown in the Minors regular season.
  2. Merrifield would be hole in the defense at 2nd or in the Out Field. He still has a fairly good bat and still can steal bases but his fielding lacking is not an improvement in any way.
  3. Where does all they hype for Lee come from? He is a sub-par Short Stop with only 168 PA with the Saints.
  4. Yep, nothing like waiting another ten years before playing in, much less winning, a post season game.
  5. Nobody knows the trouble I've seen Nobody knows my sorrow Nobody knows the trouble I've seen Glory, Hallelujah
  6. Rationalize: 1. attempt to explain or justify (one's own or another's behavior or attitude) with logical, plausible reasons, even if these are not true or appropriate. That is what is happening here.
  7. Wallner is not any where near, not even close , the fielder Kepler is, IF , he ever learn how to play fly balls so he does not have to run like mad to catch an easy fly ball, he will in left for as long as he is with the Twins. Only way he leaves is if he Joey Gallo's his BA.
  8. https://www.twinkietown.com/2023/11/2/23944266/twins-pick-up-options-on-max-kepler-jorge-polanco The Twins have officially picked up the 2024 team options on RF Max Kepler and IF Jorge Polanco, according to Dan Hayes of The Athletic. Kepler will make $10 million next season, the final year of his deal, while Polanco will get $10.5 million and has a $12 million club option for 2025 with a $750k buyout....
  9. Two former Twins now have World Series rings.
  10. Go Rangers!
  11. No different from the post I responded to, only , his was an absolute, mine was maybe, maybe not.
  12. Maybe some day, and may be not, as so many former Twins rookies have shown.
  13. Bellinger would be good to have at First Base, but not a replacement for Buxton or Taylor in Center Field.
  14. They have little need to hurry for another fielder. Lewis, Polanco, Kirilloff (maybe) with Jeffers and Vazquez catching is a good infield. Wallner, Taylor (Buxton?) and Kepler is a very good outfield. If they have problems at first bring up Williams who can both play first and catch. Farmer, Castro and Solano make a good bench; another player to replace Stevenson's fielding speed would be nice but not a big thing.
  15. Case Keenum had been with 3 teams in 4 years when he was brought in.
  16. I hope Texas wins.
  17. Change for the sake of change is a fools folly.
  18. As I said it has been too long, but I used to watch his matinee movie very often.
  19. AH, you young'ns don't know the glorius years when the Twins had a rotating group on WTCN; I forget if Mel Jass ever popped in to say hello.
  20. It means he should spend another year in AAA to learn more.
  21. Juline has poor fielding skills, just as his Minor league showed; Lee is worse.
