If the pohlads tell falvey to jump , falvey says how high ... If the pohlads tells falvey to cut payroll , falvey says how low ... All I can say is watch your back , jack , something has to give to make this team better in 2025 , , the FO has relied on hope to long ... Usually every team tweeks it's roster every off season and doesn't keep shuttling out the same roster year after year ... Let's get the obvious holes filled ...

As much as I liked santana's defense and some clutch hitting , we just can't bring back the same players from 2024 and expect good results in 2025 ... Where is our depth of over hyped prospects that play a great game in the minors but they just can't seem to find a position in the majors and get comfortable .... Falvey's creative or wait and see approach just isn't working , especially for the twins fans ... We need the roster to hit and play better defense with better health ... Spring training is for reminding these players how to play the game the right way , plain and simple .... -
The twins have had those same 3 questions for the past several years ... Righthanded bats , bullpen help now more than ever , a solid left hander ( they couldn't find one in the rule 5 draft ) , first basemen is needed and they continue to have nothing for the future for a catcher ... The holes are never plugged and the ship is sinking ... If the twins are going win , the players in the lineup are all going to half to have career years like 2019 , if they trot out the same lineup that they had at the end of 2024 were in a heap of trouble ... I don't have a problem with our rotation of starters , it's the inconsistency of the hitters ...

I'll remember you said that ... I hope your right , but me personally thinks he won't start the season on 26 man roster , he has to earn it back in St Paul , he had a real bad second year ...

I just can't cut the the owners , FO , manager and coaches any slack ... I love my twins but they could have better players if they prepared them better , spring training is 2 months away , watch them play the rookies and dumpster divers and the veterans will be on the back fields most of the spring , they may play home games but they rarely travel on the bus across state ... The veterans get off to slow starts because they don't get enough live pitching to get their timing right ... I won't see it happen this year because I'm not spending any of my money on twins fest , spring training or target field tickets until we get an owner that wants to win ... But I will take gifts ...

The falvey take ... At the start of the off season, falvey emphasized that we have to be creative ... , Falvey has now swung from we have to be creative to a wait and see approach now that the winter meetings are over ... Will falvey ever keep to his word ...

Lopez is making good money now with the extension they gave him ... Couple more years with the twins and he'll reach free agency and with the price of doing business going up and up he will receive a nice payday ... Like DocBauer said , Lopez will be given a qualifying offer , but he could be traded in his last year if the return is better than a qualify offer , just like berrios ...

Who knows what will happen with the pick in the rule 5 , he most definitely will break with the club out of spring training unless he is a total flop ... If he shows any flashes he can get MLB hitters out they will start the season with him , bullpen makes the most sense at least for to first season and then if he succeeds he becomes a starter ... I can't believe the twins found 173 thousand dollars to spend ...

Rule 5 draft .. With an inconsistent lineup , we can't afford to choose a bat and hide him , plus the team is strapped and pinching pennies ... A left handed bullpen arm is needed but again they are pinching pennies and we still have Moran and they might even bring back theilbar back on a minor league deal ...

Ober has been a blessing for the pitching staff , each year he has improved his game and should be considered part of the future ... Maybe not extend this offseason but it might be wise to extend him next offseason with the current scenarios of the twins team future ...

I'd agree with Brandon, what's the hurry all about when your not going to sign or trade anyone until after the new year ... If this is really true though and he was late getting to the meetings , it's another reason to not cut falvey any slack ... Did anyone notice in the interview that he has dyed his hair to cover the gray ??? , maybe that's why he was late , going to his hair dresser ...

I loved watching him pitch , is he HOF worthy ? ... That's a tough question , he was a dominant pitcher for Boston and had dominance in the playoffs , his 229 wins are low but I'm sure alot of losses were by 1 run , he had lots of deception with his unique delivery , probably not as unique as the ( bird ), Mark Fidrych though , fans paid to see both pitchers pitch ... Writers didn't vote for him and now the committee didn't , looks kind of borderline , but I think he is worthy of a plaque in HOF ...

They key take away is that the Mets out bid the Yankees ... The contract of Soto is 760 million plus a 75 million signing bonus if I read that right a day or so , that means Yankees offered 710 million and then boros went back to the Mets and the Mets held to their initial statement of beating all offers by 50 million ... Don't know if it really has any merit but it's what I read during the Soto episode of free agency ...

One of the AL best projected roster ... The twins are one of the major leagues streakiest pŕojected rosters ... We have seen the start of 2023 streaky As losers , we have seen the start of 2024 streaky as losers and then turn it around and were winners only to go back to being streaky and losers ... The pitching isn't the real problem , the lineup has been the problem with no consistency , 2 or 3 hits isn't going to score you many runs , they twins need a stabilized lineup from leadoff to the ninth in the order ... Maybe a new hitting coach will help but that is wishful thinking and one the FO is hoping on , THE KEY WORD WITH THE FO IS HOPE ... The twins ranked high in runs scored , but the Twins sucked against winning teams and better pitchers ... Please change the hitting formula to a more exciting game of baseball , learn to hit and get on base , then steal , hit and run or hit behind the runner , learn how to hit to all fields would be nice as alot of teams that are good hit to opposite fields , they beat the twins last year going opposite field all year , emphasize better defense to would go along way ... It's time for a manager to be a manager and not their friend ...

I just don't see the advantage here , he can hit but not much defense ... No way is this happening , it's definitely an over pay for the twins , 2 or more players shedding 17.5 million or more and getting 1 player back at a 18 million salary , I would be shocked and disappointed if the twins got fleeced once again ...

There is already alot of animosity towards the FO and owners ... If this would happen , they can forget about putting fans in the stands ... Anything can happen though , they cut payroll for 2024 , so they could possibly do another unfavorable move and trade 1 pitcher , it better be the right one ( paddock )... Me personally am tired of having all these prospects playing in the minors and hearing all this hype how good they are , or there blocked and we don't have a roster spot for them and they rot in the minors ...

Over the years with our front office , the pohlads have been responsible for the twins not being contenders , they don't plan to be contenders or even playoff teams , they are content with the FO constructing a team that can win during the season and be competitive enough in drawing fans to the stadium ... There has been very few years I have said we are contenders for the playoffs coming out of spring training , yes I'll say we are a good team and have the personal to win possibly the division but that's as far as I would go ... Adding 1 pitcher or a hitter each year is just not enough to make you a contender , you have to fill all the holes to be a contender ... Back at the deadline in 2022 , we were not contenders and the FO thought enough of the team and HOPED they were , the FO made some trades that didn't push us into contenders , we lost some talent in the trades that didn't work , 2023 and 2024 when we were a better team the FO was gun shy and made no trades at the deadline , what does that tell you how the pohlads and FO work on constructing a team .... Good enough for putting fans in the stands but not constructing a team as contenders ... My mind will never deviate from that conclusion ....

I too believe he has the tools to be a productive player , even as an older player who struggled with injuries when he started his professional career after being drafted ... I've seen him only improve the last 3 years because he has stayed relativity healthy , injuries and covid slowed his development , get over that he's older , give him the chance and he may just be a player we need to add some stability to our lineup ...
