The twins may be interested and the rumor has it they are ... Fat chance they sign him to any kind of money fedde or Kelly got after leaving the KBO ... We need hart as a bullpen piece , and FO is in a wait and see mode to sign him for a minor league contract , maybe take a risk at 2 million dollar per year MLB contract for a couple of years ....

Does any twins fan really believe the twins can finish above 4th this coming year ???? ... You win with talent , you improve that talent for the major leagues in the major leagues , this is not a philosophy of our FO , Rocco and our enormous amount of coaches , we have gotten worse with more coaches than when we only had a handful ... The twins can't win with hope , they will have a hard time playing better than Cleveland , Kansas city and Detroit

That just makes to much sense to have wallner or Larnach as a first basemen ...

Is Rocco Baldelli a Lame Duck Manager in 2025?
Blyleven2011 replied to Nick Nelson's topic in Twins Daily Front Page News
Because he is not a major league manager ... It just isn't there , he gets a talènted minor league player up from the minors an expects him to play baseball at the major league level , I have to believe that Rocco and his coaches are incapable of taking a minor league talent to the next level , you should be taking that talent and make that talent better at the major leagues , I just don't see that happening ... We have gone in the wrong direction at assembling a talented roster that lacks an̈ identity ... -
Though canterino hasn't pitched much minor league innings I think if he has a good showing in spring training and after a month of AAA he will be promoted if still healthy , time is running out and they just have to see what he can bring to the major leagues in the bullpen , I've heard over and over he has some of the best stuff when healthy , ( has a 40 man roster spot ) ... Yes , Raya has been limited due to maturity , but if he cracks the majors I agree it will be in the bullpen ..

Raya , prielipp and canterino I think with their risk of injuries will at best be bullpen arms in the future , maybe Raya will be a starter at some point in his career but work loads have been light for all 3 pitchers ... I don't have that crystal ball for the right answers for the future ...

I think this proposal is to weak ... I propose we trade Vazquez and jeffers to someone that needs established catching , then trade Duran of high quality to the Dodgers for 2 of their 3 catching prospects , an outfielder and either a pitcher or first basemen , but they would have to be major league ready cause we traded Vazquez and jeffers ... Dodgers want Duran I'm sure , they just have to give us the right pieces if our front office is smart enough ... I know trading both Vazquez and jeffers is a stretch but if the Dodgers catchers are mlb ready then we have young controlled cheap catchers that can go 50 / 50 in games played ...

I'm sure the FO had some interest in bringing theilbar back with a minor league contract , that's was one of their wait and see decisions ... Happy new year ...

Jeffers had more passed balls , they just called them wild pitches , no more accountability by official scorers ...

Trade rumors site this morning ... He hasn't pitched in the majors since 2020 with the red Sox , 11 innings is all he has of experience ...
-
I'm sure the twins FO was waiting it out to sign theilbar to a cheap minor league contract , won't happen now as they continue to suck hind tit looking for a bullpen left hander , sources say they are interested in Kyle hart , a lefty that has pitched over seas for Japan and Korea ...

You betcha on that last paragraph ... I'm sure everyone on TD has seen me post my frustration on the owners and FO ... I'll say it again , I'm not spending any of my money on twins fest , spring training or at target field , I will take gifts though ... I'm tired of being pretenders and not contenders , 2023 was a good year and we take a step backwards is unacceptable to the fans .... I'm not sorry for the negative response , I will continue to follow every game on radio or streaming ... And love talking baseball on twins daily ...

Front office lives on hope , we've seen how streaky this lineup has been the past few years and nothing seems to ever get tweaked ... Last year there were prospects that really did not earn their way onto the major league roster , they were replacements for the injured ... In the minor leagues , You work hard absorbing everything to get to the major leagues and you work hard to stay at the level of the major leagues , it seems our coaching is not up to the task of improving the talent and taking that talent to another level , you never stop learning to play the game but we continue to see these prospects regress ( julien is a good example , his defense and hitting really tanked in 2024 ) ....

The Most Iconic Pictures in Twins History
Blyleven2011 replied to Matthew Lenz's topic in Twins Daily Front Page News
Loved that season , Rod carew and pepe Cesar tovar stole bases quite often , still remember when the two of them stole 5 bases in 1 inning , both stealing home in that same inning ... They had magic legs ...- 25 replies

I would agree that they haven't really graduated any of their players , Lewis , larnach and lee have more to prove , if Lewis can stay healthy and has better stamina , if larnach can continue to hit the off speed stuff and Lee needs more seasoning probably in AAA , Miranda is still kinda struggling maybe due to injuries , the only one that has graduated in my opinion and know what to expect is jeffers , he shows flashes at the plate and defense might be average , the other need more time to know exactly what type of player they may be ... I might go as far to say this current regime has better pitching in the minors league system , but they still have to prove it in a harder mlb season ... Happy new year ...
-
You have every right to disagree , but don't interpret the wrong way ... I never said Ryan drafted better than falvey , I did mention falvey has improved our minor league system but I do believe Ryan worked his tail off with the budgets he was given , he did make a couple of good deadline trades and draft choices , Stewart and the second baseman Cabrera , I think in 2003 ... Draft choices under Ryan , buxton , Polanco , Kepler, , Mauer , morneau , hunter and a bunch more that had played 6 years and went elsewhere ... You can't always hit on the draft choices , falvey missed on 2 in arow , I liked how Ryan operated and his ability to communicate with the fans , he was and still is a respected professional ...

I see this latest regime as no different than terry ryans tenure ( i do think ryan was a better evaluator of talent , he worked his tail off as a gm / scout ) yeah he made mistakes too but he didn't have the payroll either ,,, This current regime has improved the minor league system , I'll give them that , except this current regime has been given higher payrolls to work with and has failed to adequately field a consistent team to win ( they have only constructed a team to win a division title , they don't think of assembling a team for a playoff run , ) , I don't like the penny pinching payroll as it is going backwards , but think outside the box if you were owner ... Satire ... Owner ; Mr falvey , I've given you more than enough money , more than any of your previous successors and you have failed to deliver any kind of contender on a consistent basis , I am cutting payroll 30 million dollars because you can't seem to put together a better team with my money ... Falvey says I've done my best and I guess I'm not the smartest person in the room , but the blame is on Levine that constructed all the risky bad trades and I brought them to you and you signed off on them .... Well I don't think it has happened this way because falvey would have been fired in my opinion , now he got promoted with a different title , but he Is still making all the calls ... I hate the way they throw stupid money at bad players and think they will help the team , 11 million for Gallo , just for example ... Happy new year once again ...

Im sorry and no disrespect but Why do you support a team that only constructs a team to win the division ... I wish we were the Yankees , cause they will come to play and they will crush us good again this year , just like last year ... And as you mentioned , Chicago and Detroit will and have in the past led in central division payroll ... I will continue to follow the twins every game but I will not support them with my money .. Satire ; the front office may be out of the office , the pohlads are always out to lunch ... not Satire , when Ohtani signed the deal with Dodgers, I stated that the pohlads could not keep up with the Jones and pay these high contract prices and MIGHT have to sell , and also WILL NOT pay these kind of rising contracts ... Then this past fall the pohlads came out by saying they are exploring a sale of the team , now what does that mean ??? ( exploring ) their going the long way around the barn by telling us the team could possibly be sold if the right money is presented , not that they will sell .. Have a nice day and HAPPY NEW YEAR ...
