  1. Not Good Darnold right now. Held on to the ball too long and then missed an open big play. Defense needs to get to Goff, but they are containing the run ok so far.
  2. Quite possibly they could get more. It's really hard to say, but I don't see them getting Bowers. I'd love to suggest 8 and Cristian Wilkins but that contract.....eek.
  3. They would be fools to part with Bowers. Plus they have Mayer who is a really talented young TE in his own right. I do think McCarthy for 8 could be a thing.
  4. MickeyGasperDaily. Honestly...he's a switch hitter, so I assumed they have a plan to move on from Vasquez and use his ability to hit from either side as part of a platoon with Jeffers. Don't shoot the messenger.
  5. Hear me out......Royce Lewis for Lew Ford's first born. I think I can get an article out of it if I talk about Lew Ford for 80% of it.
  6. Skattebo is one of my favorite targets in the draft for the Vikes. Today showed why.
  7. Since the thread was started...... I'll take DJ Reed this offseason at CB. Resign Risner, Murphy, Bynum, and Darnold. In the draft I probably trade down (Add a third. Let's say 32 for 38 and 83 from the Patriots), take massive space eater Deone Walker at 38. With the two thirds I take Jake Majors as a C from Texas and the best running back on the board. I'm partial to Singleton from Penn St but I like Skattebo and Ollie Gordon too. In the fifth...take another RB and the most athletic front seven guy you can find.
  8. Probably, but if there are two that are worth taking....they may get someone desparate. Imagine the Giants do sit at 4....they could absolutely flip 1 for 4 and some nice assets. It isn't a Panthers for Young situation, but we may not see that again ever. Pats have the right QB and anything else they add is a bonus for them.
  9. Is McCann floating out there that he'll sign for free? We should be scouting beer league softball tournaments.
  10. I'm guessing they don't trade Purdy....but they'll be in the market to draft one. Or they'll be the ones circling Cousins when he gets cut.
  11. 5 pages out of this trade? Couldn't say it any better about this offseason.
  12. Hell yeah. F the Packers.
  13. Quick play action or boot here please.
  14. They played really soft defense but one more 1st down ends this.
  15. Woof...missed an open 1st down and then doinked a kick.
  16. Lifetime contract for B Flo.
  17. I like all the quick passing game today!
  18. My list is in good shape outside of Wilfork!
  19. Apologize for this DocBauer-like post....So this game really forces the conversation IMO. Let's lay it out: * Vikings currently have about 75M in cap room in 2025. If they francise Darnold that will eat up 40M of it right off the bat. * They will need to make decisions on Bynum and Murphy. They will need a running back. They likely lose Patrick Jones and most of their DT rotation is a FA. They also need a guard and probably a center. * They have no picks basically other than the first rounder. So....long story short. I have no freaking idea what they should do. It feels like - and I am cringing and giving myself a mild heart attack typing this - that they should try and lock Darnold in at a good rate and trade McCarthy? Would the Rams give you pick 23 and a 3rd for him? Maybe Pittsburgh do the same thing? Aim higher and offer him to San Fran? If you sign Darnold to a 4 year 120M deal (probably too low, but just go with it) you retain plenty of salary cap space to keep building around him. Darnold likely is open to something like that as it's life changing money in a place that has changed his career. You can go out and throw an obscene amount of money at DJ Reed to play CB. Or Trey Smith to play guard. (Hell...you might be able to do both) Draft the best DT available at your picks. Find the best RB you can with the mid tier picks. But so much of that hinges on what you can get for McCarthy. So after all that, I feel good about none of what I said.
  20. I think you tag him if you can't work out a one year deal. How difficult he has made this decision is stunning.
  21. You never apologize for an ugly road win in the NFL. They went to Seattle on a short week, in the rain, and won. This team is legit.
  22. Our receivers have got to start holding on to the ball. The defense is gassed.
  23. Hockenson had no one with 10 yards and a bad throw forced a tightrope catch.
