  1. Nope, I see the total number of threads and posts....is it a setting I have to change?
  2. Thanks, that's helpful! (Still would love to see the other display, but I might warm up to this new way)
  3. Oh yeah...but it's clearly his spot to take soon!
  4. Brock, I noticed on the mobile site I get to see who the last poster was and when, but ont he desktop version I only see who started it. I LOVE seeing who was the last to post and when. (I know the stars/circles help mark this too but it's nice to see) To piggy-back after Seth a bit....when I click on the forums link I basically find that page useless now. Before I could click on that page and see if anything was going on in the More Baseball, Football, Ask Twins Daily, or the Sports Bar. Using the circles and stars to keep track in Twins Talk and Minor Leagues is easy because they are high frequency, but at this point I don't know a way to see if one of the other forums has a discussion going on without literally clicking on the subforum. As someone that frequents those forums when something interesting is going on it's kind of a pain to check every subforum daily when the conversations are more infrequent. Without that convenience, the forum page is basically worthless, especially with the guitar pick acting in it's place. I hate to sound unappreciative and complainy (I really do like the new look!)....just something that I've noticed being a pain. Maybe there is a better way to navigate that I need to be instructed of.
  5. It's hard not to have watched the last 9 games and think about the word "quit". And that would be something new under Gardy, even for these last three years. I know they're just not very good, but they are managing to look even worse.
  6. .I get JC Penny and some annoying song and a long thing about a hair salon show or something. Both things I can assure you have nothing to do with my browsing history. Here's the embedded code if that helps: <iframe width="500" height="315" frameborder="0" src="http://www.popsugar.com/psvn/embed?video=35080786&width=500&height=315" allowfullscreen class="psvn-embed"></iframe>
  7. They found their way to the new layout too! Fiends....
  8. Brock, when I clicked on this article on the quick-link on the right, I couldn't reply. I had to go through Chi's link to find a way to post. Not sure how that was possible or why. I love the look! Any way we can change it so that we don't see who started a thread but who the last post was by and when? I just could care less when a thread was started, but stars or not it's nice to see when threads were last posted on. Just a personal preference, not sure if I'm alone in that.
  9. Shhhh! You're calling him up too early for that position!
  10. Gardy's post-game comments sounded like a kid talking about their security blanket. Your blanket isn't doing the trick anymore but, dangit, it's still his binkie!
  11. Clearly the biggest benefit of this is that in March of next year we can total up all the starts given to Pino, Swarzak, Darnell, Johnson, Correia, etc. so we can justify why next year we're making that .500 push. (Only, maybe, half kidding)
  12. On the plus side he's kind of a prospect!
  13. Yeah I spoke way too soon, it's oppressive again.
  14. The Twins handling of the 25 man roster has been a problem for as long as I can remember. Under Smith as well. I won't hold every mistake against Ryan, good or bad any GM will have their positives and negatives. All I was doing was pointing out a few of the relevant positives. To be clear, I like Ryan but his supporters have exalted him to some comically ridiculous levels. So I agree with a lot of the criticisms expressed here, just don't want them to go to the same comical levels the other way.
  15. To be fair to Ryan (and I really like your list, I think it puts into perspective how much of this farm's talent is owed to Smith) but he really maximized the Span and Revere deals. Regardless of what those guys ultimately do, he really got value for them. And there is something to be said for just not making glaring mistakes. Again, just to be fairly critical.
  16. If it helps, I haven't seen the problem yet today!
  17. I have a feeling Rayburn might be getting the same treatment as you Limestone....for a long time. Wow.
  18. If that's the extension price...time to trade.
  19. Or if they call up Pinto they make actually be quite a bit better.
  20. He'll walk in two months. If you want to keep him, go ahead and do it - extend him now. It'll come at a cost you'll probably not like a ton going forward, but go ahead. Have a guy in an expiring deal having a career year at a difficult position to find and do neither a trade nor an extension? That's unwise.
  21. If you're not going to resign him...a month of working with Kurt Suzuki isn't going to mean a whole lot for AJ Achter or Trevor May or anyone else. Either extend him or trade him. Doing nothing with a FA you picked up and excelled to far better than expected levels would be a mistake.
  22. Even this morning too.
  23. This style stuff is really a bunch of guesswork I'm not sure is very relevant to the conversation. Whatever the Twins deal Suzuki for now is far more than what they could get at his normal production. That's pretty much what sell high means, you're getting whatever the best you could hope to get for him. If that's a C+ spec...so be it.
  24. If we're doing that anyone who pulls a "Colby Lewis" (verb now, I've suggested it to Websters) - their team has to bat the offending pitcher in their cleanup spot the rest of the year.
  25. Ditto - right now the site load time is nothing short of obnoxious.
