  1. Suffice to say this "right size the business" spoke volumes about the priorities of ownership. It would be great to feel like ownership was like a coiled snake looking for the right opportunity to push for a championship. That was a fart in church comment. Show fans that you share their passion please.
  2. Having Correa on this team is a tremendous thing. He's not blocking anyone. He's a pro's pro. You work your prospects around him. Even if that means moving Lee to 1b or 2b.
  3. I would be fine with filtering off some of the vets and allowing a prétty good farm system kick out some prospects for a look see. I'm not in favor of dealing prospects like Lee or Julian as some suggest. There is no attainable SP that would put this squad over the hump.
  4. I'm very pleased that he got a nice deal. Seemed like a real good guy. That being said, I'm happy we are going in a different direction.
  5. I believe the Twins are nicely positioned to let prospects evolve in to positions vacated by departures while experiencing no drop off in on field results. The lower salary number is more likely the realization of that impending reload than it is about cutting expenditures. I feel like Varland in the starting rotation is part of that.

  8. No way do I trade Julian. He is one of our up and coming guys and has both ability and availability.
  9. I like Gordon as a versatile bench piece.
  10. I would bundle the subject of this well written article with Alex Kiriloff.
  11. With his track record there is nothing about him that is "uncertain."
  12. Mark me down as skeptical about Kiriloff ever reaching his ceiling. He has a lot to prove as far as ability and availability.
  13. I wish Mr. Bremer all the best. That being said I personally felt he was a bit too much of a homer. I grew a bit tired of the promoting of the company line instead of speaking out on things once in a while.
  14. Correa is far from being one of the things that need to be focussed on to make the team better this off-season. Next topic please.
  15. I would pick Correa over any shortstop in Twins history. He's silky smooth and sends user friendly balls to first and second base. An example was that double play throw to Julien at 2b. His calm demeaner and the way he carves difficult plays in to routine plays is fun to watch.
  16. I would love to be wrong. But he needs to retire and focus on his long term health so he can try to live a happy and semi pain free life. He is such a great player and fans just love him.
  17. There is way beyond enough of a track record to prove that he is not able to stay healthy and available to a Major League roster. This teams loyalty to the player and not the results is frustrating to me.
  18. If you remain loyal to the player and ignore the results you are taking away the fight for playing time and create a meh attitude. The decisions that are made by this management team are the opposite of putting winning first.
  19. It's called being married to the players and not the results. A great recipe for being average.
  20. This team has an intramural participation certificate attitude and wants you to come and spend time at their beautiful family park. Demotions and promotions are not made based on performance.
