    This is good if they stick to the mostly four man rotation. If Hughes ends up starting the fifth game of the season I am going to be upset.

    Hopefully, this means we don't see 36 pitchers again this year. There were no fewer than 15 guys that should never see the field of play for a MLB team and that isn't even counting guys like Hughes or Perkins.

    By themselves none of these moves are particularly exciting but as a whole this is clearly our best offseason since Thome, Hudson, Hardy.

    This is really bizarre and took me by surprise but I LOVE IT. Even if Lomo regresses he i certainly better than Vargas/Grossman. One more legitimate SP and I would (dare I say) call us a legitimate contender in the postseason.

    Why do people keep mentioning May? He's coming off an injury, he gives up a ton of hits, throws a lot of pitches, hasn't started in three years. What are we hoping for out of him? 5 IP 3 ER seems to be about the best case scenario. Our rotation is obviously still terrible but I would be in no rush to see May as a starter.

    I think with the rotation as it currently stands this team will be lucky to not start of the season 10 games below .500 in the first 30 games.
