  1. Vazquez too. Quality of at bat is up all through the lineup.
  2. I would say they lost it because everyone was crying about getting Wallner out of there.
  3. Sure glad we let them waiverize him.
  4. I was thinking just turn the lineup over here, keep pressure on.
  5. Wait til you see what I post for 2.
  6. The state of the pen is all about the next three games. Sands might get to finish this regardless of outcome.
  7. I can say this now that we are done with them for a while at least.... I'm not blown away by this Rangers lineup. Three monsters but a lot of decent the rest of the way. Josh Jung is a big missing piece.
  8. I was going to say catches two, but he will at least PH if not DH in the third game.
  9. Never occurred to me. Of course they are trying to win. The next three matter more, like double.
  10. Most of them are pretty understandable. This was always going to be a game they were going to try to steal with the B team. When Jeffers plays all 3 against Cleveland it will make more sense.
  11. Blowing your wad before the most important series of the year would also defy all the baseball logics.
  12. That's one way to avoid the GIDP! Bounce it over the top!
  13. No, hes going to get a 10+ day break after the Cleveland series (provided they take 2 of 3). Moving in the order doesn't change anything. The GIDP opportunities will still find him. By the way, average exit velo on the double plays this year is 94.2mph. I haven't been tracking xBa in detail but its north of .300 from a spot check. 9 events higher than .400 and 4 higher than .500. Getting a break to refresh and heal a bit will do far more good than moving the batting order.
  14. His scorecard matched my live reaction and my feeling that everything went their way. None of the missed calls were all that close. Certainly not suggesting a bias, but Seager will get more calls than Julien at this point in their careers. Pagan got jobbed a bit but has to keep his composure there. Still did well to only allow that one run. I was questioning the bullpen use a bit but I'm fine with it. When a reliever is dominate, as most of the pen was, its the balance of eating the innings by blowing two guys out or keeping them available by taking a 6-7 pitch inning and getting ready for today. With the extra roster slot it'll be fine. Ideally the Floro/Funderburk/Sands/Headrick connection will handle it today.
  15. The comp is Kyle Tucker. High school center fielder picked 5th overall that could have stayed there but won a gold glove in right. Best high school bat in the that draft, got to the majors in 2.5 years and hit everywhere. Similar body type and prospect profile. Nice to have several choices for this award. Hitters comin.
  16. I pooped a little. It was a good night.
  17. I only say that as the run that scored was the missed strike three call.
  18. Bullpen 6 2/3s, allowing 2 runs, despite all the naysayers in this thread. Could have very easily been zero runs.
  19. Chasing Chapman sounds like a good 80s movie title.
