  1. Acceptance? You're making it sound like being a fan of Joe Mauer is like jumping into a freezing cold river with a strong current. .
  2. I'm Boniface Roosevelt instead of Pius Jefferson on Vikings Journal.
  3. I always think of TK and the wasted 90s when Hall of Fame managers come up. Ned Hanlon didn't win any world series titles because his prime managerial seasons came before the World Series. Also worth noting. He managed future Hall of Fame managers Connie Mack, John McGraw, Wilbert Robinson and Miller Huggins. He also managed Hughie Jennings who was inducted as a player but had successful managerial career.
  4. Fan disinterest will be why the Pohlad's 1, I see a team who's bad at the things that don't rely on talent. If your manager is failing in that area than he needs to fired. No one works harder is such a dead end b.s. argument. 2. Most of the time it's true. There are exceptions like Bob Brenly in Arizona.
  5. I admit to being a little worried about the low K rate. Not to the point of thinking Stewart is going to flame out, but whether he's ever going to be a true number one starter.
  6. A part of me gets a feeling there's going to be a Jordan Schafer released thread before the end of the year.
  7. I wonder how much not having Mauer hitting next to him in the lineup is hurting Dozier?
  8. Given the poor state of offense in baseball it's a little surprising the trade deadline was so pitching friendly.
  9. Plenty of deserved criticism for Anderson, but I don't think Worley is in that category. If there's anyone to blame it's the organization for having too much confidence in a national league pitcher who doesn't have velocity on his fastball.
  10. Certainly not opposing hitters.
  11. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe the Twins distanced themselves from Puckett after his the allegations came out. I think many fans felt the same way and the premature death made people think of the good memories. Which barring more problems right or wrong would haven happened eventually. Still hard to wrap your head around the fact Kirby Puckett is dead.
  12. How depressing. Another season when draft positioning comes up before the trade deadline. At this point I can't put any positive spin on this.
  13. The two sides should have parted ways after least season ended.
  14. It should not have taken a second domestic abuse charge to keep Knoblauch out of the Twins Hall of Fame.
  15. It's hard to have much confidence in a guy who can't adapt to a tough pitching environment. His performance certainly doesn't warrant a promotion and demoting him gets things back square one.
  16. Is this a serious thread?
  17. Who's the sob that hit Buxton in the wrist?
  18. There's more whining in this thread than the Napa Valley.
  19. Honus Wagner and it's not even close.
  20. He should have started the better and more dominate pitcher. Just like Ferrell should have used Chris Sale after Felix Hernandez. Jon Lester is good but Sale is better.
  21. Pick your poison. AJ is an a-hole. No amount of spin from people like Barreiro is going to change that. The Red Sox are the most arrogant and pretentious team in baseball. No amount of ESPN spin is going to change that fact.
  22. I'd like to see at least two or three five inning starts at the big league level this year. I think it helped Gibson and could help Meyer going into next year.
  23. I still can't imagine a hot streak by Detroit that pushes them over 90 wins. Of course the mediocrity of the league and second wild card lends to the possibility of an 84-86 win team making the playoffs.
  24. I'm fine with criticism if it's also said face to face to the individual and it's not done in a negative way.
  25. Arcia seems to have figured out playing in the majors leagues is better than Rochester. Arcia is the better player but Hicks is should be good enough to man CF until Buxton is ready. Which might not be until 2016.
