  1. Cano is more than 224,000 votes ahead of second place. So barring a surprise turnaround he's probably going to be the starter. It helps Dozier that Dallas Keuchel should make the team regardless of Houston needing a rep.
  2. The way Mauer isn't driving the ball. I'm not sure how great an idea is for him to be in more rbi situations.
  3. Unless you're like Mackey Sasser and can't throw the ball to second base. I don't think throwing out runners is a fair way to determine a catchers defensive value.
  4. I'm just hoping Morales hits well enough to get something back at the deadline.
  5. One of the most frustrating things about the Twins pitching staff. Even when a team doesn't care if they strikeout like Houston, the Twins still can't strike them out.
  6. Does version of Moneyball mean they can't get the job done in the playoffs except against Minnesota?
  7. Even if the Twins fall out of playoff contention in late August or early September. I just like the idea of the young talent like Sano, Buxton and Meyer coming up to a team with 78 wins than one coming off a 4th year of 90+ losses.
  8. He wasn't great with RISP last season either.
  9. I want Chili Davis to be the next manager of the Twins.
  10. Why do I get the feeling that the Mauer haters would spin outward emotions into a negative. Arguing with an umpire would be selfish. More vocal in the clubhouse would suddenly be a distant second to on field performance.
  11. Anderson might be doing a decent job with Hughes. I expected a regression because of the league change, but never thought Nolasco would struggle so much.
  12. I want to ask before stating an opinion. Is the better than expected start changing anything within the organization?
  13. I think Parmelee in the outfield to start next year would be by default and not him actually deserving the spot.
  14. I'm a baseball history nerd so remembering Hall of Fame players is now second nature for me.
  15. 218 and missed some easy guesses.
  16. My favorite part of the commercial is it's a parody song about an Italian-American baseball player sung to the music of a French-Canadian song.
  17. The starting pitching is still keeping me from really being excited about the Twins.
  18. Not sure if serious?
  19. He won't sacrifice contact for home runs, but he's certainly doing so for more strikeouts.
  20. It doesn't help when his yes-man Justin Gaard just parrots everything he says and there's never any counter arguments bringing up Mauer's actual value.
  21. Blue Jays, Angels, Royals, Orioles, and Mets have the right idea.
  22. Washington having a statue of someone who isn't part of the teams history is more ridiculous than the Twins not having one. What I'd like to see is a plaque with the name of the great Senators, acknowledging the franchise history in Washington.
  23. Arizona Diamondbacks - 80.5-over Atlanta Braves - 87.5-over Baltimore Orioles - 80.5-over Boston Red Sox - 87.5-over Chicago Cubs - - 69.5-under Chicago White Sox - 75.5-under Cincinnati Reds - 84.5-over Cleveland Indians - 80.5-under Colorado Rockies - 76.5-under Detroit Tigers - 89.5-over Houston Astros - 62.5-under Kansas City Royals - 81.5-over Los Angeles Angels - 86.5-under Los Angeles Dodgers - 92.5-over Miami Marlins - 69.5-under Milwaukee Brewers - 79.5-under Minnesota Twins - 70.5-under New York Mets - 73.5-under New York Yankees - 86.5-over Oakland Athletics - 88.5-over Philadelphia Phillies - 76.5-under Pittsburgh Pirates - 83.5-over San Diego Padres - 78.5-under San Francisco Giants - 86.5-under Seattle Mariners - 81.5-under St. Louis Cardinals - 90.5-over Tampa Bay Rays - 88.5-over Texas Rangers - 86.5-over Toronto Blue Jays - 79.5-under Washington Nationals - 88.5-over Tie breaker: The two AL WC teams will be: Rays and Yankees Tie breaker 2: The two NL WC teams will be: Nationals and Diamondbacks
  24. He should have signed with a National League team.
