    Playing well is fun even if it's a lost season.

    My tv is on extra innings so each game is in a small box. I glance up and see a huge fight, I immediately rush to turn on 668 before realizing it was video of the Blue Jays and Rangers fight from earlier this year.

    I'm starting to think the best we can hope for is a Gm-in-waiting being brought in and that person takes over for Terr Ryan starting in 2018.

    The reality of the situation might be that Arcia being an effective hitter wasn't going to happen here. To me that's more telling of an organizational problem than the idea the Twins didn't fail at getting the best out of Arcia.

    Baltimore or Toronto seem like ideal spots. They have home run hitting lineups with home run hitting philosophies and Arcia can be used to the best of his talents. Say 25-30 home run potential hitting 6th in the lineup.

    I saw one at bat today where Buxton struck-out on a very hittable pitch.

    My personal preference when playing the what if game is keeping the distance to about ten picks after the Twins real selection.

    This franchise is in a huge need for everything.

    I wouldn't put it past the Twins not trade Nunez at peak value because of the All-Star game.

    Most the Twins young bullpen prospects are hard throwers. Many of them suck or are injured but the ideal scenario is they get better or healthy and the Twins have mostly power arms in the bullpen.

    The FSL is very pitching friendly so are there any indications this is more than competing in a pitchers league?

    Buxton being recalled won't take the Allen arrest off the front page of the sports section. I doubt the move itself would even warrant being the second story on the front office. Not after the way Buxton hit when he was up earlier.

    This was originally going to be a 'this team is going to have an all-star' thread. Plenty of time for all-star game talk over the next six weeks. Honeslty, I didn't consider Plouffe because of the DL stint. Over a full season okay but so few than it's a factor. I wanted to give Abad the Cy Young because he's the only pitcher who's done his job. Being a left-handed specialist prevented me from doing so. Which itself is probably unfair.

    I want Chili Davis to be the next manager. Dougie Baseball would be my second choice. One thing that concerned me about Molitor was the label of having a great baseball IQ. That doesn't always translate into being a good manager. You have 25 guys and most aren't baseball savants. You can't reach them than your baseball brain means very little.

    The good news is the season is a quarter of the way through. The bad news is it's only a quarter of the way through. Twins MVP-Despite the bad defense my pick would be Eduardo Nunez. Leads team in oWar and is second in OPS and he's mostly a middle infielder. Twins Cy Young-Ervin Santana. Solid ERA, and a ERA plus of 132. Twins ROY-Byung ho Park Twins Comeback-Fernando Abad. My runner up for Cy Young. Twins Most Improved-The ball boy who saved that kid from getting hit with a foul ball.

    Put me in the skeptical category of Dick being called out in the club house. Especially after those announcer ratings came out and Dick n Bert were ranked the worst.

    May looks terrible but you can't overuse your bullpen like the Twins have done.
