Whoever it is, they need to remember that we are tuning in to watch the game and the play-by-play is there to enhance the game experience and not the other way around. I've watched plenty of other games and the booth guys seem to think that we tune in to strictly listen to them babble on and on and on,
I don't see how they can keep Popkins around when you look back at all the strike outs and the often abysmal batting with runners in scoring position.
There were so many times during the season that it seemed like the batter had decided he was going to swing at the pitch no matter where the location was before the pitch was even thrown. I know guessing at the next pitch is parting of batting, but I think this team needs more of a see the ball, hit the ball approach.
I am deathly afraid that the 12K, 3 hit Minnesota Twins team will rear it's ugly head. They've play much better the second have of the season, but we've still seen the high strikeout, low hit team plenty of times the second half.
One thing that scares me the most about this post season is the appearance of the 12K Twins offense.
The pitching will be fine, but you don't win in the postseason striking out in double digits.
Definition of a scapegoat: A person who is blamed for the wrongdoings, mistakes, or faults of others, especially for reasons of expediency.
Gallo and Luplow are not scapegoats. Their faults are 100% self inflicted.
The one rule I have always wanted is that ALL players must go through the draft process. Teams being able to bid on foreign players that have never played for an MLB team is unfair to small market teams.
