  1. Yeah. Hopefully he doesn't bounce back the way Harper did after he was doubled off in game 2 vs Atlanta
  2. In Alvarez 2 AB Montgomery went after him both times. Didn't give in and got him to swing at his pitches. We'll see if that continues.
  3. And I'd say the home plate umpire has been perfect so far. Maybe it is a Twins thing after all.
  4. Not sure if he can sustain what he's done with the bat. He hasn't had a ton of AB yet. But will definely be one to watch to see how he does going forward
  5. Yeah. He made a nice play in left too. And so far the Rangers are putting the ball in play. But Verlander is making good pitches when he needs them
  6. Even though the Twins are out if it, there is still playoff baseball. Tonight the Astros are hosting the Rangers for Game 1 of the ALCS. As well as the baseball I'm going to be closely watching the home plate umpires and the fake box on TV. I will closely monitor each game to see if 1 team is getting the benefit of calls over the other. There's no way it can be completely neutral. I've taken my shoes and socks off so I can keep a running tally. Also I'm going to try too read what I can on the Astros and Rangers version of Twins daily and see how they react. I imagine it'll be no different than the reactions I see for every Twins game. I'm betting that Houston will come out clearly ahead on the scorecard.
  7. I guess the thought is if it ain't broke...
  8. Not disagreeing. Who is the 1st base free agent who might be available that can do what your last paragraph mentions
  9. Maybe robo umps can play 1st
  10. Buxton knee surgery and Kirilloff shoulder surgery. 2 days after the playoffs end. So Buxton went on the IL in August. Did some rehab. Had a setback. Was put on the roster for game 4. Has 1 AB. And now surgery is scheduled. Why not back in August when he went down? Kirilloff. They rested him. He played well down the stretch but started falling off as the year ended. They acknowledged the problem but let it go until he couldn't swing a bat??? He was getting shots just so he could play. Some of the decisions are really puzzling. I know guys want to play. Playoffs and all but if you're injured how is playing helping the team or yourself.
  11. Other than Abreu and Alvarez (7 HR, 14 RBI) Twins pitch basically shut down the rest. Well unfortunately those 2 performances alone were more than all of the Twins offense combined. For both series Toronto and Houston
  12. Shirley Shirley bow birley fanana Nana fo firley fee fie moe mirley. Shirley. The Blame game.
  13. Vertical stance yes. But I'm talking about a hunched over stance Ala Ricky Henderson
  14. It starts at the knees. Ends where ever. Used to be the letters although the high strike has been gone for some time. And the stance is not supposed to have anything to do with the strike zone.
  15. Paddack looks as if he could start a game. I don't know how far the Twins could take him. But he looks pretty sharp. Let's go with the lumber. 1 run game now
  16. Keep the pressure on men. Shut down inning please
  17. Are you sure? When my twin brother and I went to school I coulda swore they taught us 2 utes that fact.
  18. When the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor, I ask you. Was it over?
  19. Which is another way of saying. We ran him out there as long as we could. It didn't get the proper rest. Now he's done.
