  1. Many of the things you wrote are true. But at least they TRIED. It didn't work out for them. Same for the Mets and the Rangers. Injuries were a big reason the Padres and Mets didn't make it. And when DeGrom went down, many thought that was it for them too. Who won it all? Standing pat or cutting costs might work out too. But it's doubtful. A team would have to have above avg. performances from multiple players. Not impossible, but highly unlikely.
  2. Perhaps Twins fan's could start a go fund me page to get the extra money so they can go get someone they identify as needed.
  3. They faced Maeda today.
  4. Martin did not play that well.
  5. Stop talking about Wallner and his cannon. He couldn't even throw out Karen Carpenter.
  6. It looked like he had a decent jump.
  7. And Kenta with 6 strikeouts through 4
  8. So the 5 guys on your list will get the majority of or all the Twins starts. Sounds like wishing and hoping. Here's to your Twins starting 5. 👍
  9. Cien por ciento
  10. I was just laughing. Wasn't paying attention to WHO commented. I posted something similar last week. You'd have thought I shot Bambis mom. And the censor police are deleting sarcasm.
  11. I'm pretty sure that's not what he's saying.
  12. Kepler. He's so good he can play left and rightfield. RF vs lefties LF vs righties. If a hitter hits into unoccupied area it's an automatic out. Kinda like our playground games and there weren't enough guys.
  13. Pete Alonzo is pretty good. All-star. But he's not worth 50 million. He doesn't move the turnstiles or sell merchandise. That domain belongs to today's Babe Ruth.
  14. Really sad news for the Jeffers family. That's a tragic loss that will be felt forever. Prayers that help them deal with their grieving
  15. The only "Chestnut" horse I would have paid to see is Secretariat. He would throw every day. No other pitchers needed. But the orangutan. Hmmm. That might fly.
  16. Lee=not yet. If you think he's ready. Where does he play. Explain. Does Julien DH or move to 1st? If you say he goes to 1st. Where do Santana and Kiriloff play. Explain where Stagger Lee plays right now. 3rd 2nd or AAA. My bet is AAA.
  17. He had a pretty good ST last year too. So it doesn't necessarily translate to good results during the regular season. But he's doing what he can to make a case for himself.
  18. There's one thing that's always talked about. Correa and his cannon arm? And it's not an argument. But if he has such a strong arm, why are a good percentage of his throws dug out by the 1st baseman? Does he believe that a 1 hopper gets there faster. If that's the case someone needs to explain to him the laws of physics.
  19. I'm not down on Jeffers. I don't think he's a good catcher. Conversely I don't think he's as bad as some make him out to be. I also believe that if he's more like a traditional number 1 catcher, that his offensive numbers will suffer. But that's another conversation.
